Theda POV I stood in the hallway, my eyes fixed on the spot where Alpha Tyler had just vanished from view. A mix of emotions flooded me, leaving me feeling both exhilarated and uncertain. As I watched him disappear, my heart raced with excitement. Vaguely touching my face which the Alpha's hand had brushed against when he had gently tucked the loose strands of hair behind my ear, I smiled like a fool. It was a simple gesture but it had sent shivers down my spine and ignited a spark within me.

Roxanne's POV "Okay, can you believe what I just heard?" Charlotte's voice hit me before she even fully caught up, her sneakers squeaking against the corridor floor as she fell into step beside me. "Good morning to you too," I shifted my bag higher on my shoulder and kept walking. "You won't believe what I found out," she was breathless, her bag falling off one shoulder. "Tyson and Skylar are done, over. It happened three days ago, apparently."

Then, maybe he’d have an idea what was wrong with her. “I’m gonna grab another soda. Anyone need a refill?” their friend, Dax Forest, who had also been in the portal with Brandon, offered. “I’m game,” Heather said. She was the other Hybrid and had been trapped in the portal for over a century. She was sitting on the floor, leaned back against the couch near Brandon’s legs even though there was plenty of room on the furniture. She said she could never get used to being so comfortable.

Her body shook, and he kissed her again, silencing her scream. Then she lay there, open, and exposed. His clothes were in a place unlike hers. His fingers left her feeling wanting. She wanted to be filled again. “Soon baby. Soon you’ll get your fill of both of us.” Heather lay panting, too dazed to cover herself as she watch Jay lick his fingers clean off her release. Tyler, too, raised his gaze to the sky. Kyra cast a glance towards Tyler. “Do you want to be here? I’ll open the portal and let you back inside the city. ” “You? When Tyler hugged Kyra, she was shocked, but she didn’t move.

I raised my eyes to look at Selene, then Typhon to her right. “Sorry Selene, my mind was somewhere else.” “Oh honey, I know where your mind was. It was on Ryder, and we will find a way to get him back. If I have to…” She leaned into me and whispered closely to my ear. “If I have to, I’ll convince Typhon to go seduce Hades. You know that Hades has a bizarre sexual appetite, right?” That actually got me giggling. I know that’s what she was trying to do, and she succeeded at the expense of poor Typhon.

"The other big announcement today," Chadwick declared, "is the union of the Hart family and the Drago family. Hayden will be marrying Yara Drago in three months." His words hit like a freezing cold slap, leaving me totally numb. So that was why Hayden really wanted to end things with me. Yara Drago—yeah, I knew who she was. Thorsten's sister, studying abroad. I'd come across her info once when I was looking into Thorsten. She was insanely smart and gorgeous, with a PhD and everything—a total catch.
