King yelled in a voice that sounded so strong and sure. Then a large clawed hand clutched at the portal in the floor. If I had a heart that still needed to beat, it would have stopped. The hand pulled itself up and out, and then tentacles waved from the portal, not touching my son but trying to climb out, trying to escape the Underworld. The Wraiths! If they escaped the Underworld, they would possess humans. They would possess all of us.
