My CEO Ex-Husband's Regret: Chasing His Dying Wife Back

My CEO Ex-Husband's Regret: Chasing His Dying Wife Back

"Brilliant mind, absolutely ruthless. She'll compliment your dress while mentally calculating how to destroy your reputation. Her weapon of choice is subtle humiliation—she'll ask questions designed to expose your ignorance in front of important people." "How do I handle that?" "Honesty wrapped in confidence. If you don't know something, own it. Say 'I'm still learning, but I'd love your perspective.' It disarms her because she can't mock someone who admits their limitations gracefully." The next photo showed a man around my age with Damien's same sharp features.

The Wife He Never Saw: Carrying His Secret Twins In Silence

The Wife He Never Saw: Carrying His Secret Twins In Silence

I do not have language adequate to what I witnessed. I looked at him. He looked back. I said: thank you. Not deflecting. Not minimizing. Not redirecting the recognition toward something more modest. Just: thank you. I had learned this from the years of receiving his specific quality of compliment, the ones that were not warmth-management but accurate observation delivered plainly. I had learned that the correct response to accurate observation delivered plainly was to receive it, fully and without armor. He had called it one of the best things he had witnessed.

My 33 Humiliations

My 33 Humiliations

“Even after leaving the firm, you remain my anchor. Since you’ve asked, I have no choice but to say yes. “But… I still don’t understand. You and Benedict were married. How can you remain so calm now?” I smiled. “If you lose a piece of gold, you will never forget it, even if it can never be recovered. You will regret not treasuring it more. “But if you drop a stone, you will only be glad to have less burden. How could you ever pick it up again?” There was a pause on the other end, followed by a light chuckle. “Your words are so simple yet profound. I would like to learn from you. The lessons would be invaluable. “Please give me that chance.”

I am reading this book and the other book you are currently serialising. Both have exceptional storylines, excellent grammar and I am absolutely obsessed with reading them. My only disappointment is with this novel you are only updating every weeks with between 5-7 chapters which is no enough.

So sorry to hear the author is recovering from illness. Hope he will continue this story when he is able. This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. Praying for a speedy recovery for him!

FATED CHASE

FATED CHASE

“At this point, you need a love life so that you can stop admiring another person's lady.” “Why do you sound angry? I can't help but compliment beautiful people or things.” Silas responded and I felt he was trying to spite Caleb. “Hey… the programme for the day is about to start.” I said, pulling their attention to the person standing at the podium. Noticing Caleb didn't look bright, I had to come up with something. “Caleb, you don't have to get angry when a lady gets a nice and harmless compliment. Compliment increases our self-esteem.” I winked at him and it was nice to see his slight smile.

"Perfect." Millie replied, "I don't need you to flatter me. I know I'm perfect." Winston chuckled. "Be humble." "No."

I think she will find out later on that she's Logan's sister. Her ex treated her like crap. I can't understand why the authors have them stay so long with someone who doesn't appreciate them. I'd like her to get with someone else like Sean!

The Billionaire Matchmaking Club Book 1

The Billionaire Matchmaking Club Book 1

I paired it with heels and I had to admit it looked great on me. “Hello to you too,” I said, resisting the urge to roll my eyes. For someone who had comebacks for all situations, I was yet to learn how to accept compliments especially if they came from a man and he was referring to my appearance. “Hi, Lilith.” Like the gentleman he liked to pretend to be, Hugo stood to pull my chair out for me. I sat down. “Hi, Hugo.” He dropped his fork to cast me a deliberate stare. “What?” I shrugged. “You said hi and I said hi back. Isn’t that an acceptable response?”

Emily said with guilt. “No no, I am not angry. It was not because of you. Don’t feel guilty. In Fact the way you defended me, I am really pleased. I am proud of you. I should really say thanks to you.” Jay replied. “I know you,Jay. I know your character. I couldn’t hear someone saying such bad words for you. You are the most humble person I have ever met. You even didn’t respond or misbehave with him after all he said & did. That proves that you are really a great guy.” Emily said.

The Mate Agreement

I mutter, forming a nonchalance I definitely do not feel. He suppresses another smile. “And you look beautiful when you blush.” Fuck. I lower my face. If I had a faint flush on my face then, I’m sure I look like a fucking ripe tomato now. Focus, focus, focus you idiot! You’re being weak. It’s just a compliment, you’ve received thousands before. Mercifully, Mrs. Valerie continues with the class.

One Bite to Another (English Version)

He's getting on my nerves. "So what? Your body is stunning!" he added nonchalantly, as I appeared to feel frigid at his remark. I want to appreciate his compliment, but humiliation consumes me. I want to sink into the ground because I don't want to see him anymore. He had seen everything! Everything!
