He just looked. Those dark, fathomless eyes holding mine with a possessiveness that hadn’t dimmed, only calcified. A hunter who’d finally cornered his prey. Satisfaction radiated from him, thick and cloying, mixed with that terrifying intensity that had once been my entire world.
