Instantly, the ocean that had loomed before me parted into two distinct halves.
I heard the team cheering my name, although I couldn't make out their exact words. "Go!" I urged, and they sprinted over the dry land, moving as swiftly as they could. Meanwhile, the colossal weight I was bearing gradually drained my strength. I remained behind as they moved farther ahead.
Unshod, I pressed my bare feet onto the dry land, striding slowly between the divided waters. The journey across the ocean from the castle was an arduous one, and the pressure I was holding became increasingly burdensome, surpassing what I thought I could endure.
