These people may have just been soilders and strangers at first but after weeks of being with them, they became friends, we got to hear about their lives and their families at home waiting for their safe return, now they would not return and that hurt, it hurt a lot to know children have lost a father, wives have lost a husband and mothers and fathers have lost a son.
After a while of crying we smile at one another. “I’m glad your safe” I say, “I’m glad your safe too, the baby seems fine also, I was worried the blood loss and pain you went through may have caused you to have a miscarriage but that baby is stronger than we think!” She chuckles while wiping her tears away.
