Haven: Rise of Luna

Haven: Rise of Luna

My emotions no longer interrupted the wind, this time it was steady, just as Grandmother told me it would be. As I grew the whirlwind I called on the water. The wind and the water whipped around Kayden, the outer bands hitting even his warriors behind us, causing them to stop fighting and focus on us instead. Within moments a hurricane was brewing inside Haven. Thunder crashed as I rolled in clouds and increased the wind.

World of Tomorrow

“Are we safe here? And what do you mean ‘extraordinary circumstances’?” Setting his brandy aside, he climbed into the bed with her, cuddling her in his arms. “We’re safe. The storm’s bad, but it’s no Long Island Express.” She wriggled in his arms until she could look into his face. “We’re in a hurricane?” she demanded, aghast. “So we are,” he laughed. “The hotel staff tell me a hurricane has never hit this part of the country.” A bright flash of lightning lit the room like daylight for only a few seconds, then everything shook with the percussive thunder.

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

Dear author, over 1100 chapters now, an epic adventure. This was an absolutely fantastic story, but now it’s starting to drag. Is there an actual end on the horizon? At conclusion in the near future, tipping towards either a heartfelt reunion or sad farewell? At this point I’m ok with either…..

Sold to the Disfigured Billionaire

The Atlantic Ocean. 100 Miles Off the Coast of New York.Category 5 Hurricane "Genesis". The airborne carrier Hyperion groaned in agony. It wasn't flying; it was fighting for its life against the atmosphere. The Category 5 hurricane generated by the Bermuda Titan was unlike any natural weather phenomenon. The clouds were a bruised, unnatural violet, and horizontal lightning lashed at the carrier's blast shields, threatening to short-circuit the anti-gravity engines. "EMP bursts are frying the long-range sensors!" Kenji yelled from the bridge, gripping his console as the ship violently pitched to the left. "We are flying blind, Co

The Lost Alpha Princess

“I'm surprised none of the boats moving around the neighboring island recently didn’t pick you up.” “We didn’t see any boats,” Victor said. “Just a big shark,” I added. “You poor dears.” Cathy picked up her shopping bags. “We must unload the boat and get ready for the storm. Then I’ll make you a decent meal.” “When can we leave?” I asked. Alex, Lana, and Harry have to be worried sick about us. “You’ll have to wait until after the storm passes,” Arthur replied. “What storm?” Victor asked. “Hurricane Della,” Arthur answered. “It changed course and is coming this way. If you two are up to it, we could use some help getting ready.”

Deeply in the game

After he'd vanished around the bend, the shower turned on almost instantaneously after he'd left. Anna pushed the blanket away from her and began to shiver. She wrapped her arms around herself to ward off the chill and stormed into the bathroom, where she discovered Jerome hiding behind the curtain. She demanded to know, "What urgent business are we talking about?" "A hurricane is expected to arrive soon. A large one. It is time for us to depart. When the curtain moved, he peered through it at her while water clung to the long, dark lashes that framed his eyes. After then, he vanished without uttering a single word. She threw her hands to the side in an aggres

I answer dryly. "Hurricane's aren't complete destruction, Tate. Ever seen the sunset before they come in and then the beautiful piles of shells they leave in their wake? They're a natural scrubbing of the bad shit, so that the good can show through." I think about what he's saying to me. "You telling me I scrubbed away all your bad shit so your good can shine through?"

Supreme Emperor of Swords

Looking at it, Ding Hao became more and more shocked. He didn't know how horrible this giant was when he was alive. At this time, even if he was dead, he was still emitting a kind of pressure so terrifying and suffocating. He suddenly realized that the hurricane was not naturally formed, but it was the turbulence in the air caused by the remnant pressure of the corpse.
