Her entire outfit was skin tight, complimenting all the places on her body that had filled out. I had to refrain from licking my lips and making her angrier than she already was. Most of all, I loved the way her blue eyes stood out against her pale but darkened skin. Elodie was mixed. Her father, white, and her mother, black. Her usually curly hair was straightened down her back. She was gorgeous. Truly a sight to behold.

It was now dark and Atlas and I needed to get home before any other creatures decided to target us. I nodded at Atlas, signalling my command for him to shift. My large white wolf tore out of me, relived to be let out after being made so angry and frustrated by the encounter with the seer. I raced through the night, closely followed by Atlas's black wolf who I could tell was also happy to be released. I went over the seer’s words in my head. he told me. It took me a moment to realise that he meant 'abomination'. They called him that. I'd heard a lot of people call me that, too. Did that mean he was a hybrid, too? "Are you....a hy-brid, too?" I managed to ask. "What is that?" He asked, sounding thoroughly confused. I had a feeling his vocabulary was limited. Or maybe he was too drugged up to understand much. Something told me it was the former. How to explain this, though? "A hybrid is....some-one who is half were-wolf...and half...witch," I explained slowly.

’ Cardinal informed me. Well, that certainly cleared that up. My mate is a hybrid. That will make things interesting. I can’t wait to meet her. Would it be rude to ask what kind of hybrid she is? ‘Yeah. It would be rude to ask them. Let them start that conversation.’ Cardinal rolled his eyes at me.

Now, she was something else. Her violet eyes glowed faintly in the dark, brighter than before. The golden markings that had appeared during the fight had not faded entirely but remained like faint streaks of fire under her skin. Her hair, once deep auburn, now had streaks of shimmering gold, as if kissed by magic itself. The Hybrid Princess. The title whispered through the gathered wolves like a prophecy fulfilled. “Luna Valkyrie…” Dwayne stepped forward, his sharp gaze scanning her, searching for something he couldn’t quite name. “You’ve… changed.”

It isn’t far from the truth. Sebastian is setting up a grill over the fireplace and getting out a couple of packs of hot dogs. As Hybrids, we also can enjoy a lot more foods than the Pures, and we aren’t so dependent on blood, though we need it occasionally. Integrating into the human world means most of our blood is from animals or lifted from the blood banks, which is also a task we Hybrids tend to get assigned to. Pures rarely do the dirty work on their own. Sebastian looks up with questioning eyes as Nathanial and I walk up.

I ask with a glare. “She’s the most special kind of hybrid there is and the only one in existence. She is a white wolf with golden eyes as I presume you are as well given your eye color. You are the only two in existence and it’s quite amazing how you ended up being mates. Luna is also a witch and the demon queen.” Amelia says and I notice Luna flinch at her words out of the corner of my eye.

Ciaran responded before he made a small step towards the car, Tobias cleared his throat. "Have you heard about that rogue hybrid running northward?" Ciaran nodded his head. "There hasn't been any word if she's been captured or not. Alpha Mike has put a bounty on her head. Word has it, she ravaged an entire town just inside of his territory and a girl from his pack was found near the pack village. There wasn't much left of the poor girl to bury. You haven't heard the hybrid's last spotted location by chance, have you?" His eyes caught the glare of the head lights and twinkled with mischief.
