It was a full moon tonight, beautiful and breathtaking, yet so much hateful. I hate the moon, the stars, and that dark sky. I hate them with all my heart, yet I am doomed to never escape from the night. And there were also these burning torches surrounding me, torches which their intense flames seemed like they were about to devour me. But no matter how much I hated all of them, they didn't hurt me. They couldn't. Not like these dozens of contemptuous gazes around me.

And the flowers she had planted around the clearing—another quiet attempt to preserve the memories we had made here—were blooming bright yellow. Small flames scattered through the grass. Above us, the first stars were already shining. The moon was still large. Not full anymore.
