The Omniscient Core. The final boss. No—worse. Not just a boss. The core of the system. The one who'd ordered the milk. It didn't swing. Didn't strike. Just stared at Darren. And Darren—locked in that crazed grin—started glitching out. Pixel by pixel, he broke apart, crumbling into nothing.

“Which god will you become?” ASTRID’S POV Didn’t feel my body anymore. Not pain. Not cold. Not Sebastian’s arms. Not Lucian’s chanting. Only the tearing. The pull. The endless, relentless pull. Like invisible hands had reached inside my chest and were dragging me in opposite directions. One hand was in shadow. Sharp. Starved. Heavy with ancient hunger. The Alpha God. The part of him sealed inside my blood answered first— recognizing him calling him wanting him. It terrified me.

But Death was moving faster now, healing as quickly as I was being torn open. “Arrogant, little shit,” he growled. “You think that because you carry a part of him, you are indestructible?” He drove my head into the floor, and my vision went white, clearing as he leaned close. Blood dripped from his chin, landing on my face, and I closed my eyes for only a moment so it wouldn’t blind me. “I chained a god. That makes me a God,” he whispered. “What are you?” I smiled, showing my blood-covered teeth. “I am your worst nightmare.”

I smiled coldly “Then it’ll be too late.” For the first time, I saw it; a flicker, a twitch in his jaw, Fear.... He knew. Not what I was but enough. As I melted back into the shadows, anticipation burned in my chest. The game had started. And I was already winning. Long after I vanished, Isaiah stood alone in the hallway, his old heart heavy. He’d seen horrors before. But this... this was something else. He had no name for it. But he knew one thing:

They introduced themselves as veteran players—Elaine and Jethro—and kindly explained what was going on. We were inside an infinite horror game. Everyone here was already dead. If we could survive every scenario and collect the legendary 9,999 points, we’d be revived.

The very air around her seemed to shimmer with the power of the heavens. "I am Athena," she said, her voice deep and commanding, echoing through the tomb like a thunderclap. "And you… Nihil… you will not break me again." Nihil staggered back, his dark power recoiling from her presence. His face twisted in rage and disbelief. "No! This cannot be. You cannot be Athena. You are weak. You were nothing before. You are nothing!" Kiara, now Athena in every sense, raised her hand, the air crackling with divine energy.
