The sun turned into the same clock as the one on the supermarket wall. A familiar mechanical female voice rang out. "Countdown to anomaly arrival: three days. Three days from now, this world will be incorporated into a new game instance. Players ranked outside the top 10,000 on the prize leaderboard will be cleared." The impossible just became reality. The other two men stared at each other, terror and despair written all over their faces. They experienced the horror of the game firsthand. And now, everything in front of them was proof that it was all real.

Clara snarls. I just tilt my head. “No,” I say quietly. “I was your mistake.” The shadow jerks, fractures brightening. “you were created for me”. “And you were created from fear,” I answer, stepping forward. “And fear makes terrible gods.” The air splits with a screech. The goddess towers over me height shifting, shadow twisting, divine fury rolling off her like thunder. Ares moves to grab me. Clara lifts her arm to block the blast building above us.

Slowly, I begin to smile. “Whose hubris makes her overstep her power. This Game –“ “Is my Game now,” I hiss, whipping my hand in front of his face and snatching it into a fist like I’m grasping a fly out of the air. “Mine. You have run it into the ground, and now it is mine. I claim it. I make the rules – me and me alone.” “I am done with you,” the God growls, stepping towards me, leering over me, his dark power beginning to seep from his body, to pool around him. “Damn the consequences – damn what that Goddess makes me pay –“

The group fell into a strange silence. Then, they burst into laughter. "Hahaha! God Mode?" Marcus was laughing so hard he was crying. "Sweetheart, you think this is a video game?" "Anxiety at zero? Impossible," the guy in glasses scoffed. "Unless you're a robot or something." Ethan was frowning at me. "Ava, your player profile—"

The red moon slowly begins to turn into bright blue. “ The gods have answered us ” Norah whispers. With that I suddenly begin to feel dizzy which makes me fail to control my self and in the end I end up falling to the ground. Slowly the light flashes away and all i see next is total darkness taking over my eyes. I wake up a moment later when I am laid on the altar. It just like the way I wake up after I found out that I am a snake and not a human being. “ what am I doing here ?” I ask with panic as I sit up then finding out that I am completely naked .
