The words seemed alive. Breathing. Watching. A cold chill crawled down her spine as the silver mark on her stomach pulsed painfully beneath her fingertips. Then the second message appeared not written in blood, written in silver light. Trust no one. Icarra stumbled back, her wolf growled violently inside her chest, behind her, the tent flap snapped open. Kaelen entered first, Lucian followed a second later, both froze the moment they saw the warning. Kaelen’s eyes darkened instantly.

The name sits in my head like a warning. This is not quiet anymore. Not careful. If the bond is waking up, I will force it back down. No matter what it costs.

I nod my head yes “If I earn your trust within these three weeks, I get to take you out for ice cream some time and you become my close friend , but if I do not earn your trust , you can ignore me all you want and I will never bother you again..Deal?” he turns to look at me for my answer.

“Let this night serve as a warning. Loyalty is paramount. Betray me, and you will face consequences.” " But guess what? I'm not done with all this."

I looked at it, then at her. “I’ll fix it,” I said quietly. “It’s just a mirror.” “No,” I murmured, brushing my thumb over her collarbone, “it’s a warning.” Her eyes lifted to mine. “Of what?”

Carved into it, the letters an ocean shade of blue, it read: This is your final warning. Do not waste it. “Our final warning?” I breathed, pinching the bridge of my nose. “What does that mean? Have we had any warnings prior to this? And who could do something like this? It looks like magic, or technology that's too advanced for us to have.”
