"Your mom called me and told me you turned Dracula on everybody!" Isabella blinked and grinned. "I love you, Anna." She hoped to ease the hurt she made her best friend go through. Anna scoffed, flipping her brown hair over her shoulders. "Oh please. I used to love you but now I love you a little less. Especially for not allowing me to see those cuties!" "Aww. They're so adorable, right?" Isabella egged on. If she got Anna to gush about her babies, it was likely she would forget that she was mad at her.

Anna was fast and strong enough to grab onto her wrist, making her struggle in order to release her own hand. “Let go!” Natasha screamed as she started to feel the pain because Anna was gripping it very tight. “You are the intruder between us. Ibrahim and I loved each other. I met him first, and it was me that he loved!” She added, bursting out at Anna as if she had really put all of her emotion into it.

Yet, Anna found solace in her love for literature and the few friends who stood by her side. Anna’s closest confidant was Mia Robinson, a bubbly and artistic soul who always seemed to see the world in vibrant colors. Mia’s father, an architect, and her mother, a gallery owner, nurtured her creativity from a young age. Despite her artistic talents, Mia often felt overshadowed by the accomplishments of her older siblings, both of whom were renowned musicians. She masked her insecurities with humor and a never-ending stream of optimism.

Once again, she waved her hand in the air like she was speaking to a child, “I’ll tell you the little story.” My mouth hung open. I couldn’t say the words I needed to make her seal her lips. My legs were also frozen as I couldn’t move away to stop myself from listening. I drop the glass cup and turn to her with arms akimbo. "Tony loves Anna, that's why she is choosing him. I can't be on your side if this is based on your selfish desire to have your daughter within the confines of your home. Another man has a better thing to offer Anna", she mutters and I begin to wonder what she told Anna. Why is she talking about love? "What did you tell Anna? What did Anna say? Is she still going?" I bombard her with my questions. She shrugs nonchalantly again. "She says she wants to go."

"You are not going to look for another girl now right?" Jason had to force himself from laughing out loud but a few ha-ha left his mouth before he covered his mouth with his hand. He looked at the pretty girl in his arms and smiled, his hand caressed her chin "I didn't look for a girl when I haven't got you, and it's now that my dream is fulfilled that I will leave you? Anna, I love you and that is not about to change. To be honest, I think these two days of knowing you love me and being with you has actually increased my love for you." Anna smiled then and kissed him "me too, and I think it's going to drive me crazy."

Little did he know, that was the furthest thing from my mind She and I looked at one another with both relief and fear. I didn’t even know how we were going to explain how we knew one another. But it seemed like Anna was willing to play a role with me where she didn’t have to explain herself or reveal that she knew me in any sort of way and I was happy for that. “I love her already. You don’t need to know her very well to know that she is such a good person. I know she would do anything for the people she loves.”

“That man… Chiara, he treats me like I’m glass. He doesn’t let me lift a finger. He even gets angry if I try to stand too long.” Chiara’s chest tightened slightly. A part of her felt happy for Anna. Anna deserved that love. But another part of her felt bitter. Because she had never experienced that kind of love. Not even once. Anna continued, her voice filled with affection. “He’s so sweet,” Anna said softly. “He kisses my forehead every morning. He asks if I’ve eaten. He sleeps like he’s afraid I’ll disappear.” Chiara’s throat tightened. That sounded like peace. That sounded like everything Chiara had always wanted.
