I Married My Ex's Uncle Novels & Stories

“So, I suppose you aren’t angry with me for giving your paintings away to your sister?” I pressed my lips together as I glared at him. “Not at all,” I lied. “I painted something much better anyway. If anything, it was a blessing that you gave her my paintings.” His eyes darkened. “Oh yes, I saw your painting. It was a portrait of my uncle, right?” He asked. “I hope you don’t think that the fact he allowed you to use him as a model means anything. He only married you to get under my skin. His heart will always belong to one woman, and she isn’t you.”

Solemn songs soon filled the air, and after a while, the relatives of the deceased was asked to come forth to pay their respects before the casket was lowered. I gazed around, my heart aching unexpectedly. None of my family members had come to my burial. I knew that I had gone against their will and married Kenneth back then because of ‘love’ but they could have still attended their own daughter’s burial, but then, I spotted a familiar face amidst the crowd, it was Marilyna and her were eyes red and puffy from crying. "Problem?" Alexander suddenly asked beside me, his voice low. I shook my head, composing myself.

“ Uncle please do not keep me waiting any longer . Tell me the exciting news already . “ I respond to my uncle who pours himself a second class of whiskey with ice . “ Prince George your marriage alliance has finally been fixed and your marriage will be announced in two days . “ My uncle says to me and I instantly feel a storm brewing inside of me . I have told him many times that I am not yet ready for marriage but he keeps on insisting and this time he has went very far with this issue of marriage . How can I bring someone’s daughter into a disastrous life like mine ? Why does my uncle see the need to make such a huge decision about my life without involving me ?

He sighed, running his hand through his hair. "I felt devastated, hopeless, lonely. I did everything to make her forgive me. But one day, she came to our house with James as his wife. My world collapsed. My heart scattered into a million pieces. The woman who I loved desperately was my brother's wife. It was unbearable." He shook his head gloomily. My eyes widened in shock. My mother was married to my uncle. Is it a joke?! "My mother was married to my uncle?" I asked, dumbfounded.

like it was a disease. I let out the breath I didn't know I was holding. "She has some things to take care of." "Things," He repeated, eyes narrowed. "Like painting in a worn out store in the middle of nowhere?" How did he... I didn't even want to know. My jaw tightened. I should’ve seen this coming, but hearing it out loud annoyed more than I'd anticipated. "That's not anyone's business. It's between my wife and I." "Claiming her after what you did?" My uncle, Marcello, chimed in. His Hazel eyes held it's own when I met his gaze. "She's not supposed to be married to you."

I could bet that the one thing he was running from was marriage, which I'm sure Uncle would try to drive into him as soon as he found him. I entered my office and picked up the phone immediately. It rang once. "Hello, Uncle, I need your help. My wife has been poisoned, and I need you to help me figure out who did this." "It is fine," came his simple reply, although in the most murderous tone possible.

I didn’t know if I should be happy about that. “I could agree to not let the world know about our marriage for now. But the whole Ashford clan needs to know.” I looked at him, protesting with my eyes, but I knew I didn’t have the right. “That’s how far I could grant your request. Especially my nephew needs to know you married me too. That would be the start of your revenge.” I swallowed. At least he listened to my request. That was still better than nothing. I was just a nobody, after all.

I need to know what he has found out about my mate. " Where is she?" I ask urgently. He hesitates a bit and gives me a black envelope. I open it slowly, and what I see there breaks my heart. " They are back from their honeymoon," Uncle sighs. He goes to the fridge and gets two bottles of beer. He turns on the TV. The pictures in the envelope only upset me more. They show a real couple acting like a couple, smiling and holding hands as they walk. " This is stupid." " Not really. They are married," Uncle says. I glare at him, but he is not fazed. All this time, I comforted myself by saying that their wedding was only for the show. They wanted to restore her reputation, which I had succeeded in

Her heart missed a beat. She turned to look at Sasha and frowned, her tone serious. "Sasha, you are overthinking. He is Clark's uncle, which means he is my elder. The situation was critical at that time. He just acted out of an elder's concern for a junior." "Huh? He is your husband's uncle?" Sasha opened her mouth wide in shock. "Oh my god, that is too dramatic... But, even if he is an uncle, that look in his eyes was too impure..."
