Closing my eyes, I sought the quiet power that lived within me, the unbreakable spirit of the she-wolf ready to protect her kin. When I opened them again, it was with a renewed clarity. "Let them come," I breathed into the silence. "We are the werewolf, fierce and free. And together, we shall rise."

The girl screams and struggles. Every time the werewolf asks the girl, the girl actually responds. “You like this, right? He comes right back at me but my tongue is too heavy to flex out the words. “Ivy… just say it” Ma Trisha coos and rests her hand on my shoulder. I turn to her with my tears filled eyes and nod gently. I turn to Asher who seems very unsettled as he is clearly burning for the hidden truth. I inhale and exhale gently. “I am a primordial werewolf!” I spit without looking back…

I said, and Leah laughed. “Yeah,” she said “And it’ll get worse before it gets better.” “Being a teenager is hard for sure,” I said, remembering my own lonely teen years. “For sure,” Leah agreed as we walked out of the room and headed for the stairs, “Plus, he’s just turned fourteen, so the next couple of years are bumpy for a werewolf.” I guess my blank expression was enough for Leah to realise that I had no idea what she meant.

It took the thoughts I had for Ludovic to abate the urge. "She was... She was..."
