Still choosing me." We stood there. Holding each other. Both crying. Both laughing. Both overwhelmed. Kade was solid. Real. Present. And he could scatter whenever he wanted. Become distributed. “That’s not what I meant…” “But that’s what you said.” “Max…” “You chose this,” I whispered, stepping back. “You chose this over me.” “I’m not choosing…” “Yes, you are!” I yelled, tears burning my eyes.
