They tumbled onto the deck of the Aegir’s Wake as Sif slammed the throttles forward. The ship lurched, its hull groaning as it plowed through the "Ghost-Ice" and out into the open sea.
The Vane Revelation
Once they were clear of the Bergen coastline, the adrenaline faded, replaced by a cold, hollow dread. Sif stood at the stern, her eyes fixed on the mountain where her brother was buried. She didn't cry; she looked like she had turned to stone herself.
