If I Were A King 소설 & 이야기

I would not kneel. I would reign.

There was no sign of a bruise or pain. “I can’t believe you are still fascinated by it.” The king spoke, watching me with his hands crossed over his chest. “Well, it’s not every time you find someone with superpowers.” I exclaimed. “You do know you live in a world full of werewolves, right?" “Yeah, but I never met anyone with powers different from the rest.” I said, then my eyes widened as I stared at the king with a smile that I was sure would make me look crazy. “You're the king.”

His hand on her burned my vision like salt rubbed in a cut. I ruled as King. I owned the palace and crown. But alone in the mud, I felt like nothing more than a beggar.

None of it silenced the truth. I was king in the human world. Here, I was already broken.

Tell the truth? My friend is the king, and he already said he has a reason, literally a living reason. And you're the dead uncle, also an old skeleton with saggy skin which can move… Damn! You want an argument, Ma'la will give you one…! "I'm seeking, sorry. This is something that I can’t change. Before, I don’t mind these things at all. For me, a king like me, it’s normal to kill people to protect my beloved kingdom. It’s the destiny of every ruler. But, right now, I’m having second thoughts. Sometimes, I wished that I’m just a normal person, with no kingdom and reputation to worry about. A normal citizen who is unrestrained. “/They really do think you’re their King?/” “/It’s not funny!/” I complain. “/It’s hilarious!/” Tom returns. “/And who would you prefer as King?/” Sarah demands of Tom. “/Someone who’d start throwing his weight around? I don’t feel like a king. I feel like a man who just left home behind.

He finds it strange that Aileen was silent, so he speculated that the lady must be up to escaping again or doing silly things again. All of a sudden, a lady jumped into him. It clung to his neck like a koala, then she asked, "Who are you? Say the magic word!" 'Magic word? What the hell is she trying to say?' says the confused mind of the king, but his mouth runs and utters, "Don't you know who I am? And, what's with that magic word?" "If you call me 'my sunshine', 'my queen' or 'my love'... Then you're hella' in!... Otherwise, names like 'you' or 'woman'... Then you're freaking out! Yah, hear me?"
