I'd have drawn the line there. So I did what I was told to. I was glad I took up the offer though, the man was an IT whiz. It was the painting of the late king. He was known to be ruthless and cruel. 'Like all kings I suppose.' He was very handsome and he definitely passed it unto his children. "What are you doing here?" A cold voice sounded from behind. My eyes widened and I slowly turned around to see that it was the king! Some luck I had.

He said smiling. “If you send the invite, I certainly hope we can make it,” I said sincerely, “I thank you for your kindness and hospitality Alpha Price. Please let me know if you find anything that might be helpful while searching for… The king.” I said letting my words trail off. If we didn’t find Kellen soon, I would have to be named successor, and truth be told I did not want to be king. I just wanted my friend back to take his rightful place.

"You mentioned that you will make me your queen; that means you are a king and you have a kingdom. Am I right?" "Yup! I am indeed the king of our world," he said in confirmation. "But if you have a kingdom to run, then why are you here in the word of the humans? Why are you neglecting your duties?" His claim confused me, so I asked.

Turns out Edna was right. I’ve been beating myself up regarding this situation which would have been eventually rewarding if our so-called Prince didn’t set his default to jerk-mode. Hence, there were a lot of things I wanted to say to him now but I decided to just let out one. “I’m not any of those things you termed me to be. If you believe I am, then you should go and work on fixing your sense of judgment, especially since you’re going to be our King one day.” The crowd gasped simultaneously at that.

I wasn’t the scared human I felt thirty minutes ago, but a King. And tonight I would put an end to the insurrection that almost cost me everything.

So, he asked me to wait until he could afford it. I chose this day to wear it because after I revealed my true identity to him, I was going to announce this gala as our wedding feast. I laughed in irony. I laughed like a maniac. “You really turned out to be a pathetic excuse for a man!” I said looking straight into his eyes. “I can't believe this. How did I ever fall for such crap of a man?”

If someone had told me this would have happened I would have definitely laughed in their face and told them they were crazy. Someone suggested that we needed a new king, someone to rule fairly and just, But do we? Do we really need a king? Alaric, because it is his right full position, his birthright, at work. For ever since he was a child, it was the only right thing to do. But once again was it really what I wanted? Do you need a king that wasn't working? I faced the crowd this time around to ask my questions, “Do you really need a king?” The crowd went silent as they pondered on my words.
