Hayashi immediately looked worried. “No, not that. It’s about her memory.” Kenji looked thoughtful, as he had to choose his words carefully. “Yes, how is it? Has her memory become unstable again?” Hayashi asked for an explanation. “The usual. She forgets anything she doesn’t want to remember.” Akiko’s inability to remember pain was typical. “Ah, she still can’t accept it.” Hayashi nodded in understanding. “But this morning, Akiko seemed confused because she felt like she was remembering something... déjà vu.” Kenji found the right term.

Just as I was about to turn and leave, Elisa suddenly shouted, "Leno, you're finally awake!" He lay in Elisa's arms, confused as he looked at the people around him. He struggled to sit up and asked, "Who are you?" When he turned his head and saw me, his gaze lit up instantly. "Flora Hall!" Leno was then taken back to the hospital for further examination. "The excessive dosage of wolfsbane has damaged Alpha Leno's brain and nerves, causing temporary amnesia. His memory has regressed to 15 years ago," a healer said.

“There was a car accident three days later. Maya and her mother were fleeing debt collectors. Her mother survived with minor injuries. Maya…” “Selective amnesia,” I finished. “She can’t remember significant portions of her childhood.” “Ages six to fifteen, from what I could find in the medical records…” “You hacked her medical records?” “You asked me to find everything.” He doesn’t even look guilty. “The amnesia was trauma-induced. Her brain basically locked away the memories associated with that time period to protect her from the pain.”

She explained. "Cannot speak?" "Yes, a patient will become deaf or mute; they will only stare at nothing for seconds, minutes or the rest of their life. But in Kimberly's situation, it's dissociative amnesia; her brain temporarily wiped her memory owing to severe sadness and emotional trauma." "Will she ever be able to regain it?" "Yes, but it will take time, and it is better to wait until her brain remembers it by itself." "But why does Doctor Henry have to pretend? Why can't we tell her the truth?"

Lucia asked, shifting her question to the only doctor in the room. “There seems to be a problem Miss Lucia. She seems to be suffering from a rare type of amnesia called dissociative amnesia. She has forgotten about everything in her life, even her name” the doctor explained. The doctor's news came as a nuke which exploded right before my eyes.

What I really wanted to know 'Was if my mum was going to be fine or not. "Localized amnesia is a type of dissociative amnesia. It involves being unable to recall a specific event or events for a specific period of time; these gaps in memory are usually related to trauma or stress." "But she had an accident!” I countered. “Well, yes. It's not uncommon for patients with head injuries to have temporary amnesia after waking up. And from what you've just told me, this seems to be her brain's attempt to forget hurtful events that happened to her. You see, at the moment she doesn't have the mental strength to deal with it."

Doctor Tim continues. “And as for not recognizing you, Luna Jasmine has gone through some traumatic accident which must have caused a shock to her brain, leading to traumatic amnesia. Now, I want to reassure you that traumatic amnesia is not the same as Alzheimer's or dementia. It's a specific condition that can be treated with the right approach. We'll need to monitor her progress closely, and I recommend cognitive therapy to help her regain her memories. So be rest assured that she will be perfectly fine and needs to be away from stress at all cost”

"I'm happy for you, dude." Days passed, and Lara remained in the Infirmary for further tests. As soon as the results were available, Alex and I hastened to the Infirmary. "Alpha Magnus, I regret to inform you that your Luna is suffering from Anterograde Amnesia. She recalls past events but is unable to remember recent occurrences. There's a chance she may not recall her marriage to you or the events preceding her unconsciousness," a medical staff member explained.

Though she seemed reassuring, her eyes looked haunted. “You must allow Kira to adjust it whenever we instruct.” Pytor’s tone brooked no argument. “We’re doing what’s best, and we can’t have you fighting when we’re trying to help.” He grasped her chin when she tried to look away. His fingers were like steel trapping her in his gaze. “Do you understand?” She nodded sullenly. “Why can’t I remember anything?” “The injury caused retrograde amnesia. You still remember how to walk, talk, and perform other basic functions. It’s affected your personal memories.” He bent his head. “It pains me that you can’t remember me or our love.”

“Kung may naalala siguro ako baka alam ko ‘to. Ikaw, alam mo ba Blue?” “Special kasi,” walang kagana-gana niyang sagot. “Bakit nga special?” pangungulit ni Sadako. “Hayan ka na naman sa curiosity mo. Amnesiac na curious naman ngayon.” “Ikaw kaya magkaroon ng amnesia. Ang hirap kaya.” “Nangangatwiran pa. Amnesiac na nga makulit pa.” Nakabusangot na nanahimik ang amnesiac na makulit.
