“It's not the possibility of my entrance she's speaking about,” I said. “It's the possibility of memorizing every inch of the base at once.”
“What do you suggest, then?” the sheriff asked.
I gestured towards the man we chained on the floor. “An illusion,” I said. “If we can get enough shadow ash, Molly might be able to make Jacob look like him. And the both of us could go together.”
“No,” Molly said. “Firstly, we don't know enough about that man to go as him. We don't even know his name. Secondly, I'll be too far from the illusion to keep it stable.”
