The sound of my ringtone was starting to fucking piss me off. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand just as it stopped ringing. A message notification popped up and I hesitated opening it, but then I did, my expression blank as I read through the message. Dad: Where the hell are you? You’re a fucking disappointment. Do you ever get anything right? Every single time I give you responsibility, you screw it up. You’re still as incompetent as ever. Just useless. A complete failure. I wasn't fazed by his insults. It didn’t even sting anymore. Failure, Incompetent, Useless, Pathetic, Disappointment, name it. There's nothing I've not heard him say.

I nod my head and start getting ready. I have known sadness, grief, and guilt. But losing someone. Never. The makeup lays bare in front of me. My fingers stop over the concealer. But they don't hold it. As if, telling me to lay all my emotions naked. Being perfect is a standard I have always gone for. Today I would change it. I would show the imperfections. Because they are the ones that make me more alive.

Being semi-famous is annoying sometimes. I also have no desire to make out with Hunter anymore. Hunter is part of my Model Perfect image, we are a package deal. It's unfortunate for me, that Aftershock has a partnership with Model Perfect. We are the 'it couple' and if there is a slip up the partnership is over. Would that be such a bad thing?
