Edward's phone likely wasn’t even switched on. Sebastian opened the book and sat down on one of the sofas and tried to lose himself in the book’s universe. It was a very ludicrous universe with an Italian billionaire trying to seduce a university student. The writing was also spectacularly bad. Normally the combination of a ridiculous scenario and bad writing was enough to make him smile. It just wasn’t happening this time. He forced himself to keep reading. He still felt empty when he got to the end of the book despite the hilarity of the bad ending. Sebastian picked out another book and repeated the same process.

The mother stands. I closed the book and placed it on the shelf. There was no need to open it again. The past had finished its speech. It doesn’t have to be forgotten to stop controlling you. On the balcony, I gazed at the sky. The stars appeared one by one—no brighter than yesterday, no dimmer. The world doesn't become perfect just because of one right decision. But the world stops becoming worse when the lies are halted. I thought of everyone who stood in their place today. Not everyone was happy. Not everyone was whole. But everyone chose what was right.

Man from reality will not be as perfect as the man from the book, but they are real. They are priceless.

When that day comes, illusion breaks and we have to face the reality. It's better this way. I know where I will be going and what to expect. I look at the man who stood in front of me with a blank look. What is happening? Tears start to swim in my eyes. The person whom I thought is perfect, is not perfect at all. "The idea of perfection is a myth, Angel. No one in this world is perfect. They act like they are. But they are not" he says as if reading my thoughts. Just then a thought occurs in my mind.

The world was created under a false image of perfection. Its creator believed in perfection, believed themselves to be perfect, when they never were. Thus, I, the perfect one, must exist. Without any pain, I was thrown into the depths of the earth. I will not judge anyone, as he will. I will not punish anyone for their actions unless they ask for it. My kingdom is more worthy than his. The intactness of his soul cannot be compared to mine. I was his creation, I am his reflection.

Everything was perfect here, a stark reminder of how far removed I was from that ideal. A clean, perfect plate—scrambled eggs, toasted rye, a bowl of fresh fruit, and a croissant I probably couldn’t afford on my best day. The coffee was still hot in the carafe. Everything was immaculate. Of course it was. Adam’s world didn’t allow room for disorder. It was a fortress of control, erected brick by brick, against the chaos that, apparently, I represented.

And then I wouldn’t know what love is. If the world is perfect there will be no tears. And then I wouldn’t know how to smile. If the world is perfect there will be no wars. And then I wouldn’t know how to appreciate what peace is like If the world is perfect then there will be no bad people. And then I wouldn’t know how to appreciate the people who were kind to me. If the world is perfect then we won’t lose the people we love. And then we wouldn’t know how much they meant to us.

I switch it on then looking for entertainment news or show then suddenly a news caught my attention. ‘Breaking news one of the hottest supermodel now in America Miss Shane Sandoval is in a relationship now with her co-model Alexa Gray.’ My tears ran down to my face immediately watching Shane’s interview together with her new partner. They’re so sweet together, like a perfect couple of the century. I stand up but my legs are shaking and my body is trembling in anger. I'm lost now. I lost the woman that I love so dearly with all of my heart because of that one stupid mistake.
