Trios: Beginning

Trios: Beginning

The questions flood out urgently as I leap out of bed, scrambling into shorts. I'm at the waterfall. They're dead, Zak! Mom and Candy... They're dead! I fly down the packhouse stairs and burst outside, shifting the instant fresh air touches my skin. Screw the shorts. Screw everything except getting to Brandon as fast as possible. I tear through the forest, making the twenty-minute hike in under ten, ignoring the branches and thorns ripping at my fur and flesh. The only thing that matters is reaching my best friend. I find him at the edge of the lake, curled into the fetal position on the sand. He’s naked, clearly having shifted back to human form. I skid to a halt beside him and shift back,

Please me, Stepdaddy

Please me, Stepdaddy

“We went hiking, did team challenges, things like that. Liana’s better at rope bridges than she gives herself credit for.” "Is that so?" Celeste raised a brow, glancing my way with obvious amusement. “She held onto me the entire time we crossed and still nearly fell twice,” Zayn said, grinning. “In her defense, the wind picked up at the worst possible moment.” "That wind came out of nowhere," I said, laughing despite myself. "Sure it did."

The Alpha Triplets who hate me

The Alpha Triplets who hate me

The flag for solo students was planted deeper than the team flags — another cruelty dressed as policy — which meant I had further to go and less time to get there. I tracked by the small markers Petra had quietly circled on my map before I left. Old stone posts, mostly overgrown. I found the second one. Then the third. I was looking for the fourth when I heard it. Footsteps. Not rogue-wolf footsteps — not the particular weight-shift of something hunting. These were intentional. Unhurried. Like whatever was coming wasn't afraid of being heard. I stopped. The footsteps stopped. The forest held its breath. Then Kael stepped out of the dark between the trees.

The Alpha King And His Luna

The Alpha King And His Luna

I hoped I’d find answers. Birdsong pulled me back to reality. I needed to stop drowning in questions and doubts. Grass brushed against my ankles. I loved walking barefoot in the forest, feeling the earth, the branches, even the stones pressing into my skin. Then a voice echoed from afar: Freya. “Layla, I finally found you! I wanted… well… How about we walk deeper into the forest?” “Even deeper?”

MY HYBRID MATE

MY HYBRID MATE

Maybe a walk would help. I got up quietly, careful not to wake anyone, and stepped outside. The night was calm, and the air crisped and was cool against my skin. The soft glow of the full moon bathed everything in silver light, making the trees look taller, darker, more mysterious. My students were all asleep in their tents, their gentle breaths, the only sound in the quiet camp. I didn’t want to disturb them. So, I started walking. A torch in my hand, I wandered into the dense forest. The forest felt unreal, like something out of a dream. The scent of pine and damp earth filled my senses, and the soft crunch of leaves beneath my feet echoed in the stillness. I used to come here with my pare

Follow Your Dreams

Follow Your Dreams

Tyler asks Luke confused as the both turn to stare at me. "I'm crying because I'm so proud of you; you're such a big boy!" I praise him through my pouring tears; carefully kneeling in front of him next to Luke. "How about we leave now?" Luke suggests quietly as if he doesn't want to shatter this moment. Standing upright I take the backpack from Tyler with one on as I take one of his little hands in my other as Luke takes his other hand in his much bigger one. We don't make it more than a few steps when Tyler stops walking causing the two of us to glance down at him in wonder.

Mr. President's Lost Wife

Mr. President's Lost Wife

"Of course I can!" While holding onto the strap of her backpack, she stomped through the forest. When she arrived at the location, she immediately sat on a rock and breathed a sigh of relief. “Phew! It seems like I've really gained weight. My footsteps felt heavier. Do you know, Uncle? Usually, I can go around the forest without resting. If Papa and Mama take me camping, I can walk three hours without stopping.” "Is it true?" Edmund smiled at the unbelievable confession. "You have magical feet, apparently."

Just like the other readers. I cried so much because of the father & daughter. It's saddening but also heartwarming. It's a great book. . I enjoyed Ed, Alice & Sky's adventure Now, looking forward to Sky, Louis & Emily's own adventure.

Finished this sweet and relaxing story. Ed really behaved like a dick so his motive doesn't hold up. Sometimes a bit too elaborate so I skipped a bit but Sky is no doubt a marvelous kid. I was curious about Alice's mindset which was not really explained but Sky made up a lot. Worth reading!

Finding my way to you

Finding my way to you

“You probably like sports.” “Hey, that’s easy. Military schools have half of the courses in sports and training.” “But I got one. Your turn.” “OH” “I did not realize it was a game.” “It won’t be if you accept the loss.” “Cunning!” “You like trekking.” “That comes under traveling.” “I think it still counts.” “How did you get that?” “Noticed when we were climbing down Apex hill.” She clicked her tongue to show her mock disapproval.

The Return of the War Legate

The Return of the War Legate

Rustle... Rustle... ‘Footsteps?’ Adrian abruptly stopped by some prints on the ground amidst a clump of grass, studying them carefully. He had been journeying north since morning and had now stumbled upon signs of human presence, though no actual people were in sight yet. Recognizing these signs meant he had a chance to escape this place. Thus, he followed the footprints and other traces, forging ahead until he finally encountered living beings. Having spotted those traces earlier, Adrian had already disposed of the peculiar creature's corpse he'd been carrying on his back. While the Hellblade remained sheathed, the Divine Frost Slayer Blade had been drawn. Concealed behind a bush, Adrian si

Second Chance Luna

Second Chance Luna

It was a beautiful sentiment. An hour before sunset everyone was gathered in the forest about two miles from the pack house. I was nervous about walking barefoot through the forest with the kids, but the path was clear of any debris and the ground was soft without being wet and muddy. The kids seemed to enjoy the walk and didn’t complain about the distance as I expected them to. Alex and Aria helped to keep a close eye on Calvin while Eden followed them around like the little shadow she always was.

C.J. Primer
This story is a fun and refreshing take on the werewolf genre. The writing and the character development are on point! Anja is a very talented writer and I can’t wait to devour whatever she writes next.
Jules Robbins
As the author states, the beginning is slow (nothing wrong with that!), but things build. I found the book to be an enjoyable and fairly quick read. It flows nicely into the second book without leaving you hanging. ... ... ... ...
