Currently, Sanam and Iqrar are in the same car towards their house. Iqrar's happiness is visible on his face, while Sanam's thoughts are creating such a ruckus in his mind that he is restless. Iqrar is driving calmly and is humming a song which is not reaching Sanam's ears. All his attention is on the cars running outside and the big buildings. Everyone turned to see countless cars and persons floating over sixty feet up in the air, and there was a hellish white mist around them. "Whoa…" The cabbie gasped and turned toward Frank, Jada, and Laura. "Is that… real?" "Of course." Frank chuckled. "Your eyes never lie, though reality isn't as complicated as one would like to think—someone is just playing tricks!" As he finished, he gestured for the cabbie to turn the car around, while he alighted and strode toward the freakshow. Even as the cabbie reversed his taxi, he asked Jada, "Shouldn't you be more concerned for your boy, ma'am? He'd be dead if he had his soul stolen!"

But everyone trusted me not to do something crazy. I booked a cab. My hands were shaking so much as I waited for it to come. When the car came. I sat inside. And I was so restless. I kept on bouncing my leg up and down like I was running on electricity. The whole ride to his garage. My heart did not slow down. Not even once. When we reached. The cab stopped. And through the window, I saw him. Caleb. He was already closing up. He looked tired. More than tired.

I rush down the streets, ignoring the cars honking and the pedestrians cussing. The streaming rain is soaking me, but I don’t care. With a death-seeking maneuver, I drift, causing a cab driver to step on his brakes. “What the hell? Get the fuck out of my way, you maniac.” Shaking my head, I try again, not succeeding in calming him down as he yells at me, shielded by his door.

Emily tried not to dwell on the negative thoughts and decided to distract herself by staring out the window. Suddenly, the cab began to make weird noises before coming to a halt. “Damit!!” the driver cursed. “What's wrong?” Emily asked in a confused and panicked tone. Before the driver could respond, Emily saw the problem for herself. Outside the cab and from the hood, white smoke began to sip out. Emily let out a scream while the driver only yelled out more profanities before rushing out of the cab. Emily didn't waste another second. She jumped out of the cab, tossed some bills inside before walking into the busy traffic.

I most certainly wouldn’t wanna humiliate myself in front of my sister as well. Endless problems come through my mind during the ride home in the cab. I didn’t even realize the cab driver babbling about his daughter- or was it his wife? Sorry Mr. Cab driver, I don’t care. And quite frankly, I’m exhausted and apparently very stupid and pathetic. Everyone already thinks I’m a snob anyway, so what’s the difference if God forbid another cab driver in New York City finds Sophia McAdams to be a snob.

She gave her directions curtly to the cab driver before slamming the door shut with a force that resonated her frustration. The cab jolted forward, the sudden motion mirroring the agitation that surged through her. As they sped through the city streets, her eyes remained fixed on the passing scenery, but her mind was a whirlwind of anger and disappointment. Her fingers tapped rhythmically on the seat next to her, a physical manifestation of her restless irritation. The hum of the cab’s engine seemed to pulse in time with her thoughts, each vibration intensifying the sting of betrayal.
