I looked at Anu after coming on the earth back as she asked me, "Inaya, where are you lost? You haven't even touched your sandwich yet? What happened?" I just stared at her silently, having no answer to her question. I can't tell her about my condition, not now. If I tell her, she will eat up my mind more. I'm already losing my mind. I can't take this anymore. She clasped my face. "What happened, Inaya? Is everything fine?" She asked concernedly. No, Anu, no, nothing is fine. I'm going insane. Oh god, but how do I tell her? How do I explain to her?

It was as if he was trying to wake me up with his voice. But I had been dead for days, and I could never respond again. Adrian seemed to have lost his mind. It took a full five minutes for the police officer to come to his senses. He walked forward with difficulty, gently patting Adrian’s shoulder, his voice trembling. “Don’t move her—this is a crime scene, and she’s key to solving the case.” He glanced at me, then turned his head away, unable to bear it, his eyes red. But Adrian didn’t listen to him at all; he just held my body tighter, staring at the bloodstains on the back of my head, his bloodshot eyes trembling.

Dean and I had been in the lounge for the better part of the morning, abiding by our house arrest as we watched every serial killer documentary our local streaming service offered, when an unrelenting sequence of loud knocks had come from the entrance to the pack house. I looked over to Dean, who looked completely oblivious to the outside world as he watched the latest Jeffrey Dahmer series with nothing but pure worship in his eyes.

He’d been down here slumming it for who knows how long, and now his sanity was being questioned. “Are you all crazy? Can’t you see... I mean, it’s obvious...” He didn’t want to say something that would make him look as insane as he felt. His eyes were darting around, looking for something. A face who would see reason? He returned his maddened gaze to Marv, leaning forward.

A silent, dark ache. Silas hadn’t left. She stood in front of the floor-length mirror, the silk robe slipping from her shoulders, breath held like a prayer. In the reflection behind her, a silhouette. Towering. Still. Watching. She didn’t move. She wanted to see what he would do. Silas approached without a sound. His eyes, always unreadable, flickered down her body. He didn’t touch. Just stared. Consumed. Possessed. Her heart thudded. "Do you ever think about it?" she whispered. "About me?"

Shaking her head in disbelief, she looked and found the blood covering the floor, mixed with the coffee lying there. “Come here, I’ll treat the wound.” She assured her, giving her a stool to sit on. She sat there, not speaking. Her mind sank into the thoughts. She saw Gabriella look insane for him. This much insanity? She was unable to believe it. The man who insulted her, she was crazy after him. Why? Did he hypnotize her or what? How could someone be so crazy for someone? She had seen Eliseva’s madness till today only for the money. On seeing the money, she used to react as if some demon had taken shelter in her mind, and in the same way, she saw Gabriella today.

The insanity series is now complete. The wonderful journey this has taken me on along with the wonderful people who have joined along for the ride know the ups and downs and the five months of my life it took to write this series. i am insane proud of the outcome and how it all worked out. The next series which is the nightmare series will begin in december. The first book in the series "The nightmare begins" is ready and will begin on December 1st. Though the first book does not have Max and Deanna i will tie in to the insanity series with the second book which i will begin writing in early 2021.
