1, 2, 3 I kept on slamming my hands on the wall, forming a large dent with my bloody fingers. The pain was enough to drive me insane, painful and intense, but rather than stopping, I continued. The images of young dead pups flashed in my mind, the images of wailing mothers, dead pregnant women and innocent farmers. Having a nightmare seemed normal, but having to live through this everyday was driving me to the brink of insanity.

“Because I shouldn’t even be here in the first place.” Slowly, Sane approached her, afraid he might do something she wouldn't like. He no longer wanted her to push him away. "If you only know, if you only know how hard it is to understand myself. I am troubled and mad, you see. I shouldn't even be talking to you for I am the dead girl and I carry the wrath with me. You'll only be unfortunate once you stay, Sane. And I don't want to drag you down with me. If I am meant to perish in my poor grave and keep my death sealed without saving, so be it.

How would I look if I am inside a coffin, imagining Tim looking at my dead body, and imagining me- how I would die. "What if—" "Enough!" Ina's voice cracked in frustration, her eyes staring straight into her own reflection as her hands clenched tight on the edge of the vanity. "Do you want to survive or do you want to live Lily? Because I am not going to suffocate myself for the rest of my life in order to satisfy Helen and Vandaulf's desires." Lily said nothing, the silence oppressive. Ina pushed out a breath, the flames in her subsiding just enough to let the exhaustion seep in.
