Jusqu'à mes dix ans j'ai été la fille la plus heureuse du monde. J'étais insouciante. Je prenais du plaisir à aller partout. Les gens que je rencontrai à San Francisco n'avait aucun préjugé sur ma couleur de peau. Que j'ai la peau blanche, des cheveux crépus(enfin plus bouclés que crépus quand même) et blonds, des yeux tirant sur le vert et tout ça avec un père noir, une mère et un frère métissés n'a jamais fait tâche. Jusqu'à ce que j'arrive à Dakar C'est dans la ville où j'aurai dû me sentir plus chez moi où je me suis sentie étrangère et non désirée. Les gens en dehors du cercle familial me regardaient bizarrement. J'ai découvert la méchanceté gratuite et la mise en quarantaine alors que je ne suis porteuse d'aucun virus mortel ni autre maladie grave. Juste parce que je suis albinos je mérite qu'on me traite de la sorte. À la limite je préférai être mise en quarantaine parce que quand on me parle c'est pour me traiter de sorcière, de Djinn, d’être maléfique et je ne sais quoi d’autres. On a même accusé ma famille d'avoir pactisé avec le diable pour être riche et que j'étais le résultat de ce pacte. Devant moi certains parents ne se gênaient pas d’interdire leurs enfants de m’approcher. Au début ça me touchait mais maintenant ça ne me fait plus rien. . Ce qui est bien dans mon cas c’est que j’ai tout ce que je veux. Il suffit juste de demander.
