The long wood tables were covered in jungle-themed table clothes with friends, family, and pack members gathered around them. "DINO RAWR!!" Tate calls out as he squirms in Zac's arms to reach for a bright green T-rex balloon. This kid was obsessed with dinosaurs, and his nursery in our suite and the guest nursery at his grandparents were overrun with the creatures from all his stuffed animals, jammies, and sheets.

My mother, on the other hand, was dressed as a beautiful and ethereal fairy queen, her costume a shimmering array of pastel colors, with delicate wings attached to her back and a crown of flowers on her head. Alpha Lukerain, my mother's mate, was dressed as a powerful and majestic dragon King, his costume a stunning combination of scales and, with a long, flowing tail and a crown of fire on his head. The flame was dressed as fire with a crown of flames that glowed like lava. The boys were dressed as their favorite game characters. Naki, my best friend, was dressed as a beautiful and mysterious mermaid, her costume a shimmering array of blues and greens, with a long, flowing tail and a crown

Madam Amelia seemed to know this as she nodded her head at me. “Now what? You can’t break your vow. What will you do? You can’t have a Wolf Rider running around Astoria.” There it was. Hikari was already racing around in his little Luke Skywalker costume, making swishing sounds as he swung his lightsaber. Ryū was in baby Yoda costume: green knitted booties, a brown knitted robe with matching diaper cover, a green long sleeve sleeper to keep him warm, and a green knitted cap to look like Yoda wears covered his dark locks.

Hours later, we were out the door to check out the Dottie Gaming event. Ivan's eyes were wide as saucers the moment he saw me and Sharon in Dottie's characters. She had us wear her badass heroine costumes for the new game that she just launched as a promotional thing. It was part Viking inspired themed costume, complete with the leather boots mixed with tomb raider bad ass chick feel. Dottie combined our look with leather shorts and matching leather bustier with intricate gold design. We even got fake knives on our leather belts, and also fake guns on our leather shoulder straps.
