We walked over to the desk, and Daniel broke the official government seal, pulling out a single sheet of typed legal parchment. It was an official notice of transfer from the Federal Bureau of Prisons: NOTICE OF PRISONER INMATE TRANSFER INMATE ID: 904-A-CROSS, ALEXANDER STATUS: TRANSFERRED TO MAXIMUM SECURITY FACILITY - SECTOR 9 Attached to the legal document was a small, handwritten index card in Alexander's precise cursive handwriting. Thomas sat down beside me, careful not to jostle Maya. "Do you want me to read it first?" I nodded, handing Maya to him and taking the envelope with shaking hands. The return address showed the state correctional facility where Alex was serving his sentence. I hadn't heard from him since before Maya was born, and I'd been grateful for the silence.

The person in charge then turned to the crowd and explained, "This is Mr. Bruce Ingram of Kingsbridge University. He is also the dean of our Literature department." Then he asked respectfully, "Sir, did you need something?" Bruce looked across the crowd with a gaze. "I came because of a piece I read. It's called 'Day and Eve'. I heard it was one of the entries in this competition." The organizer nodded at once. "It's an outstanding piece of writing indeed. It won first place today, and several of the faculty members were even discussing offering the student direct admission to our graduate program." No one noticed that Bruce's face had already darkened.

It would be idiocy to show him that I was sweating under my clothes. "What's the commotion in there? Two more minutes! Hustle boys! We don't have whole day!" shouted one of the officer stationed at the door. The perpetrator moved out my way. Laughter echoed behind the background from other inmates. I kept a steady eye until I got out.

then Mike smirks an hour later and Angel need to leave him, Angel: " I'll be back just call if you need something. " As Angel walks out the door Mike suddenly tears up, knowing that Angel already knew about the results his feeling crushed as many times then the nurse came in to update him about his condition and Mike is already at the point where his condition will worst and life will only a month hearing the information, he didn't feel weak instead Mike is determined to hand the ninth letter he keeps on exhaling and inhaling deep.

Dear Brian, I am writing this letter to you to let you know that I will be coming back as soon as I can. So sorry about what I had done to Millie. But I was angry. I went down alone. Stack of envelopes. Foundation correspondence forwarded from the office. Two bills. A card from someone I didn't immediately recognize. And one more. Institutional envelope. Federal prison return address. I recognized the handwriting before I read the name on the return label. Flynn Lancaster. Federal Correctional Institution, Cumberland. His third year served of his life sentence. I stood in the lobby of our building. Mail in both hands. The familiar handwriting on a prison envelope. Flynn had written me a letter.

I am sorry for the way things worked out but I can’t do this anymore, our son deserves better. I left it at that, who even writes letters anymore, and what was I supposed to say to him. I put the letter in the envelope along with some pictures. The letter was so direct, and I felt he tried to get back at me. Still holding the letter I nodded my head to shove off the sudden thoughts that crowded it. Evander walks closer to me and took a peep at the letter. "He is getting married, seriously?" he commented while his eyes were still fixed at the letter. "That guy is a total jerk! A wedding at this dreadful moment?" Evander complained once more. I folded the paper and dashed out of the prison cell immediately. "I will get you out of here before nightfalls" those were the last words I said to him before leaving.
