Then there were the others—Fancy Coffins to Make Yourself, Do-It-Yourself Coffins for Pets and People, and, for good measure, How to Raise Your IQ by Eating Gifted Children. I shook my head, glancing back at her still sleeping form.

I grab the shelf to steady myself, my heart leaping into my throat.

The things happening to me were enough to drive anyone to the brink of madness. I stared at the open, leather bound book, The Devil's Bible, that I had been writing in a felt as though I was slowly losing my process and train of thoughts. I placed down the black pen to look at what I had spent the whole night writing, it was completely unreadable, meaningless like the rest of the writings in the book.
