Inside A Book Novels & Stories

No one builds a fortress like this without secrets to protect. I glance back at the door. Lucy is still outside, but the thought does little to calm my nerves. I return to the desk, running my hands along the edges in search of a hidden compartment. When nothing gives, I move to the bookshelves. My fingers trail over the spines, most of which are fake—decorative placeholders meant to impress rather than inform. I’m about to give up when one book catches my eye. Smaller than the others, it’s wedged awkwardly between two massive volumes.

I didn't think it was open when I looked around. I walked over to it and as I tried to close it, something caught my eye. I looked inside, through the crack, and saw a book. I opened the drawer slowly and a very old, intricately designed book was in there. The cover intrigued me. It looked so fragile but it had withstood the test of time.

Dan said. “Alright, Beta, we trust your judgment,” the men said and parted, and me and Dan entered inside. Just like the outside, the inside was telling too, huge and layered with books upon books. I was starting to think finding the book in particular wasn’t going to be easy. “You want to read about rogues and run patterns, right?” Beta Dan asked. “Yes, and other related things,” I added, so as not to ruin the possibility of diverging into something else later.

Queenie started to read the text on the second page of the book. “Look at it with your heart. Not with eyes.” Queenie’s eyebrow frowned deeper. She was a little upset. This book was full of mysteries. Queenie didn’t have much time to solve various mystery words. She needed to cure his father immediately. Queenie closed the book again in annoyance. Accidentally, her finger touched the bottom of the box. The bottom of the box was hard and felt mushy. Like there was another room under the lid of the box. The outside of the box was red. The inside of the box was white. All this time, Queenie never realized the inside of the box. She never even took the magic book out of the box.

There’s a soft thud, and the drawer on the nightstand pops out. Inside the drawer is a book with black bindings, along with a pen. There’s nothing else in the drawer, not even a picture. I pull the book out, turning it over in my hands. The cover is cool and leather. I’m sure it’s a journal of some sort, and I’m almost tempted to put it back, unread.

I knew it was nothing special. When I had nothing to do, I slipped into his study to find something to read. A worthy novel or thriller maybe. I started searching the shelves in hope. As I went through several books, my eyes darted on one of the book which had something tucked in inside. It was something firm like a photo placed inside and it's edges were puckering out of the book. I took out the book and curiosity got the best of me as I tucked out the photograph.

Everything is going as it is planned, except for the fact that I did not had any chance to see the inner area of the school today. But that's okay, I'll see it tomorrow morning. I followed what the guard told me, and there it is: Thelma's Book Corner. I found you, finally. It looked exactly like a barn, painted with red and brown. There's also a hotdog stand in front of it. I entered the store, and I must say that the inside is much bigger than the outside. Was that even possible? Looking around, I saw that there's a lot of bookshelves around here, plus a bean bag area for the people who prefer to read their books here.

“No… It doesn’t. But it felt as if it was burned into my skin.” “It’s the same design as the one on the book…” Leo adds with a frown. “Can you read it?” Thea implores curiously. “Yeah… - I nod, skimming through the contents - It’s like a journal. Or a diary… Would you mind if I went to read it in peace?” “No, no. Go ahead.” I go to the bedroom in the back before turning the book to the first page and start reading.

"I'll be right here." I get up and wander toward the book sections. The library is organized by subject, with fiction on one side and non-fiction on the other. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for, so I just start walking through the aisles, letting my eyes scan the shelves. I pass through the science section, then the history section, then literature. Nothing really grabs my attention until I reach the yearbook section. As I'm browsing through the section, one particular book catches my eye. It's a black book, smaller than most of the others on the shelf, and something about it draws me toward it.

Meanwhile, the three people that the class were looking for were having a little bit of a break from their helpless class and seizing the moment of stillness and silent as every student were staying inside their classroom, receiving group study sessions and tutorials and copying notes from one another. One of them is Excami. She was enjoying her stay inside the library building, specifically at room 3 where most of the poetries, fictional or romance books that were remarkable in the history were placed— of course, other romances are still there— which she enjoys reading right now with a serving of chocolate milk and a chocolate filled croissant. She’s been rearing to read this book, sure she
