The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

And somewhere inside a quiet hospital room, two exhausted hearts sat beside the little girl who had changed everything. And as Lily slept peacefully through her very first sunrise— they understood something extraordinary. The greatest moments in life rarely arrive with perfect certainty. They arrive tired. Terrified. Overwhelmed. And then one tiny hand wraps around your finger… and suddenly you realize you've never been more ready for anything in your entire life.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

THE WEDDING WASN'T MINE

THE WEDDING WASN'T MINE

I have spent my entire career engineering the conditions for other people's significant moments. The lighting. The music. The precise second the doors open. I know exactly what makes a moment land in the space around it, the silence before it, the way the right words in the right order can make time do something unusual. What I did not know, until tonight, is what it feels like to be inside one rather than behind it. It feels, for the record, nothing like I planned. It is considerably better.

Dear Billionaire Ex-husband, I Moved On

Dear Billionaire Ex-husband, I Moved On

Maybe redemption lived in much smaller moments. A child holding your hand in a dark aquarium. Listening to stories about imaginary fish kingdoms. Being invited, even tentatively, into someone's future. Tiny moments. Fragile moments. Moments built on trust. And for the first time in many years, I realized those small moments were slowly changing my life into something worth keeping.

The Weight He Claimed

The Weight He Claimed

When he leaves the room, the door closing softly behind him, the air changes again. It’s just Dante and me. The tension hasn’t eased. If anything, it’s focused now—like the world has drawn a circle around tomorrow night and decided that’s where everything breaks open. I watch Dante turn back to the window, shoulders squared, already carrying the weight of what’s coming. And I understand something with quiet certainty: This isn’t just the next hit. It’s the moment where the past finally steps fully into the present. And whether it’s a trap or an opportunity—

energy in a desperate sprint to the finish line, because that friction is what powered the Reset. "Eryx, stop fighting!" I commanded. "What?" "Stop the roar! Stop the iron! Be Still!". I didn't reach for the sunset-gold fire. I reached for the Original Silence. I funneled the entirety of the Ninety-Nine Chapters of Waiting—the years in the square, the months in the Abyss, the seconds between our heartbeats—into the wooden key. I didn't strike the tower. I Locked the Moment. I drove the charred, black-emerald key into the very center of the clock’s face, right where the hands met.

The Billionaire’s Regret Clause; One Year Together. One Love

The Billionaire’s Regret Clause; One Year Together. One Love

Ernest said. Don rewrote the naming section. The journal entry at the center. The argument around it, not containing it but surrounding it, acknowledging what the entry was and what the event was and what the sixteen years had been building toward. The new section was structured differently from any other section in the book. It began with the argument about the pivot — the naming as the moment when the emergent world was fully acknowledged. Then the journal entry, printed exactly as Ernest had written it, in the journal's form, with the date and the plain language and the final line about the ordinary day. Then the argument resumed, not explaining the entry but surrounding it, showing what

The Debt Of Sin: I’m sleeping with my husband son!

The Debt Of Sin: I’m sleeping with my husband son!

Just stretched thin, like a wire pulled too tight, ready to snap at the slightest pressure. My breath catches just slightly as I reach it. I stop. My hand lifts. Hovers. Just inches from the door. Everything inside me stills. This is the moment. The final one. The point where everything changes. Where there is no going back.

and "Let's just be in this moment together." It's a silent refuge from the world outside, a way to anchor myself to the person who feels like home. The feeling of her warmth, the rhythm of her breathing, she leaned into my touch—it was a small, perfect moment of connection. The day's noise fades the moment I step into the room. It’s no longer about the traffic, the overthinking, or the endless to-do lists. The only thing that matters is the person in front of me, the person I'm holding.

The Moment of No Return

The Moment of No Return

My voice cut through the commotion, halting everyone in their tracks, "I have the medicine." A pale blue pill lay in my open hand. Relief washed over James's face. "That's it! Honey, hand it over quickly, I need to give it to our son." James reached out, his face a picture of gratitude for his son's narrow escape. However, I did something completely unexpected. With a light laugh, I flicked the pill into the champagne tower. It fizzed, then sank. Everyone froze. James was livid. "What are you doing, Joyce?! That's our son's lifeline!"

DEDICATION: I dedicate this chapter to 'Mhiz Grace Pretty' for dropping two gems on my book this month. You are amazing 😘 Elliot's POV The book was magnificent. Just as I imagined. Once I reached home I had already prepared myself to open it but I had to savour the moment of having the first magic book in the world.
