If leaving this place meant giving Zira a peace of mind, he wanted to leave as soon as possible. Just before the beta wolves could pick up the puppies, the den behind them caved in and a giant sinkhole appeared where their den was. A horrid mixture of wolves’ scents burst forth from the sinkhole. The Darkfires who stood at the entrance of the den had fallen into the sinkhole, along with two of the puppies. Ward and Zira gently tossed the ones with them away from the sinkhole and towards the beta that saved the third puppy, then jumped in.

It was incredible, and I did my best to focus on what she was seeing. I did not want to know what she had used this for with Hudson, but I had the feeling this trick could come in handy with Oliver once I figured it out… There were at least two dozen wolves marching with them, and I could hear more waiting further back in the trees. The moon sat high and heavy above the pines when Tamsin reached the main den hall. Wolves milled in the shadows, their voices low, their eyes flicking toward her mark and then away. No one blocked her path, but their presence pressed against her like a weight she could feel in her bones.

Right now, I need him. We head into town. We share the town with another pack called Red River. The town has shopping, restaurants and bars. We head to our favorite bar called The Hound. When we arrive several wolves, greet us as we walk to the bar. The owner Tommy pours us whiskey. “You feeling okay?” Devin asks. I hang my head and down my drink and Tommy pours me another. “No man I’m not. I feel lost.” I reply. “Dude go and get her. This feeling is not going to go away until she is back with you.” Devin tells me. “I can’t she doesn’t belong here with me,” I down another drink and get a refill.

She'd be here when he came for her, when he rescued her. Adam and Jackson ran blindly through the woods.
