I peep into the room, using just one eye, but I don’t see Aida anywhere. I slowly push the door open and take a few steps inside. That’s when I hear water falling and notice a door closed with a light shining underneath the door. She must be in the bathroom, and I take that as a good sign. If she has the strength to bathe herself, she may not be in too deep of a funk. When I turn to exit the room, a few things catch my eye. There are unframed pictures all over the walls. Deep in thought again. “Ok so I have many questions ….Oh! She asked me to take pictures!” he obviously remembered Iris’s request which I had clearly forgotten about. Eric fumbled for his phone and showed me the picture he took. “Shit it is identical… what does it mean though.” Furrowing my brow deep in thought Eric asks to see the book. So I nod and go fetch it. When I come back to the room I place the book open on the page with the house. I gently slide the book in front of Eric and Finn. Immediately I knew they were probably thinking the same million questions as me and Iris. They both sat deep in thought looking at the page.

I shove them to the floor where they scatter and lay down but I'm not at peace. After turning severally, I know I won't be getting any sleep until after I see what's in those pictures so I sit up and reach for them. There are three pictures in all. The first I look at makes no sense to me. It's the picture of the side profile of a man aiming at something with a rifle in his hand. It looks like he's on top of a roof. The second picture is of the same man but with a different background.

LORENZO POV. "Stop laughing before you lose your fucking voice" I fired at him. This moron had been laughing for the whole two minutes now. I swear I will choke him. "Just look at these PICTURES" He highlighted the word pictures. The audacity of his men to click pictures. They are not seeing tomorrow sun rise. He was not going to leave this easily. I looked at the pictures anxiously and after looking I sighed in relief. None of the pictures had her face.

People in the room started whispering even though nobody said anything loudly. Jacob's lawyer spoke again. "Here we see a pattern." That word bothered me. It was like they were trying to tell a story about my life of talking about things that actually happened. Then the third set of pictures came up. Iris was in them. She was, with me close enough that it looked like we were together. The pictures were taken from afar through a window. It was like someone had been waiting for the moment to capture that image, where nothing else needed to be said because it already looked like everything was settled.
