As the sun dipped below the horizon, the entire island of Isla de Sombra began to glow, a massive, bioluminescent beacon in the heart of the Atlantic. It was a heart that beat for everyone, a throne that sat empty, and a waitress who had finally found her home at the center of the world.

It was pitch dark outside by and even inside the cottage the bulbs had given out and if it wasn't for the kerosine lamp they had found, they would be sitting in pitch dark instead of partially dark like now. "You good?" he asked and she only gave a slight nod, he didn't pester her further but soon enough the sound of a chopper could be heard pretty clear. "I think our ride's here " Isla said her first few words in a while.

I laughed when she gulped hearing this. She shut me with a glare before asking her next question, "So that means there are other supernaturals too? Or they are just myths?" "Yes. Remember I showed you the view from the plane's window. This island is one of the chains of islands collectively named Darkland. And each island is given to each species, like elves, witches, trolls, ghouls, fairies-" "Faries!? Are they even for real?" She cut off as an excited child. I'm starting to love this cute childish side of hers. She lives carefree and smiles more whenever this little childish part of her comes out.

I got to Maya and her friend, I assumed. "Luna, this is Willow. Willow, Luna." She introduced us to each other excitedly. I looked at Willow and gave her a small smile which she returned. She had a tall, slim, athletic build and I almost envied her. Almost. She gave me a wide smile compared to the one I gave her. Maya continued talking but this time, to me. "I told her you needed a job and she said her brother needed a new secretary." Maya beamed but I didn't know what to say, "You can start whenever you like."

He thundered, disdain written all over his voice. "My name is Isla. I am sorry for bypassing the pack's protocol, please. I came to ask for Lily. She is highly seeked after in the slave quarters. " I heard her voice and quickly hurried up to unbuckle the leg spreader from my legs. Dressing up at once. Alpha Derek turned to face me and returned his gaze to Isla at the door. "Leave. She will be with you soon." I heard Isla's footsteps trailing out of the passage slowly. He slammed the door against her and walked into the room with a cold expression written all over.

“Call and invite the Marketing Director of GR Company, Lim. Tell him I hope he’ll attend the celebration party tonight.” Elsa glanced at the newspaper, and her body trembled slightly. The headline was shocking: GR Company’s Defective Building Materials Cause 23 Deaths! Her eyelids twitched. She remembered that Alice Lim from GR’s Marketing Department had a very bad relationship with Director Qin! “President Bo, tonight’s party is for the Marketing Department’s success. Besides, Director Lim isn’t an employee of our company. Archer winked at his Beta couple to ask them be patient as he was. Lydia got his order, and spoke up encouragingly to their Luna, “You’ve trained with Laurel for some time, don’t you?
