~ Ava ~ Three hours later, the plane arrived at Alpha Darius's private island. It was called Isla de Silvera. Probably taken from the name of his pack, the Silver Moon Pack. It had more than enough ground area to fit a decent-sized mini airport, so we didn't need to land elsewhere. Viewing it from the sky, the island was shaped like the end of a golf club. The north side had elevated mountains full of trees; the east down to the west had mostly roads, gardens, wheat crops, and buildings, while the south had the stretch of white sand.

He nodded. “Does it have a name?” “smith's ,” he responded. She laughed. “I should have known.” She shook her head. It seemed unreal that he would own an entire island. But his naming the island smith's didn’t surprise her in the least. He wore arrogance like most people wore clothing.

"Your island is worth over two billion. Where am I supposed to get that kind of money?" I glanced coldly at Xena, who was cowering behind Orion. "If you can't afford it, then stop sticking up for her. Xena, tell me honestly, where's the money from selling the island?" Xena shrank back, tears welling up in her eyes, but she still spoke with a self-righteous tone, "That island wasn't just yours. Why should I give you the money?" Infuriated by her shamelessness, I raised my hand and slapped her again. "If it’s not mine, then does it belong to you, you thief?"

Sebastian hummed in acknowledgement. Luna decided to continue. “The name of the island is Hon Hai Island. We weren't able to uncover much about the island because it's quite remote and uninhabited. However, Dr. Voss promised to reach out to a friend of his who is a travel blogger and cartographer. This friend should be able to give us more information about this barren piece of land.” She concluded. Sebastian hummed again. “You look worried, Sebastian. Is there a problem?” Sebastian gave her a wry smile and ran a hand through his hair, pacing slightly.

They hurdle close together, staring at a tablet screen. The island—Willow—it’s just like every other exotic island you’d seen in movies or in magazines. The ocean is clear, shimmering like azure crystals. As for the house situated in the middle of the island, it’s white. Built like a holiday house—the sort you’d find in the Hamptons.

It smelled only of salt, sun-drenched hibiscus, and the deep, terrifyingly quiet pulse of the sea.

Manuela whispered. “I’m certain I’m right. Your husband is in love with you.” Suzie stated firmly, holding Manuela’s gaze. “By the way—what’s Isla Paraiso? Is it a place, or literally an island?” Suzie asked curiously, and Manuela let out a small laugh. “Don’t bother trying to find out—but I can tell you this much: it’s not a normal island.” Manuela replied. The answer only made Suzie more intrigued.

“By the heavens,” “Yes, by the heavens.” The woman repeated, “What do you want. You were warned never to return to this island. What do you want?” “The message I bear is for the ears of the chief alone.” “Are you deaf?” The woman shouted. “The chief is dead.” The cold blade on Ejima’s skin was beginning to burn and the heat was driving a stinging sensation through her body. Without a doubt, she could tell that the blade had broken her skin, but she was not ready to back down. If the chief was dead, then someone must have taken her place.
