When the Embers Turn to Ash

When the Embers Turn to Ash

The fifth video began to play. One early morning, I finally waited for a fishing boat to appear. My voice was already hoarse from crying as I begged the fisherman to take me away. After being trapped on Exile Island for so long, it wasn’t like I hadn’t thought about calling for help, but there was no signal on the island at all. The fisherman was my only chance. However, he couldn’t understand what I was saying. He muttered something in a thick local dialect, then nodded and gestured for me to get on board.

Contracted to the Mafia: A Plus-Size Bride

Contracted to the Mafia: A Plus-Size Bride

On that remote island, the sun was beginning to set on the western horizon. Marco and Davina sat near the dying fire, their bodies still wet and cold even though hours had passed since they were stranded. Marco kept staring at the sky, looking for signs of life—helicopters, planes, smoke from a ship in the distance. But there was nothing. Just an empty sky and an endless sea. "Nothing. This island is completely isolated. No one's coming to look for us."

DESPISED AND DEVOURED BY MY STEP FATHER

DESPISED AND DEVOURED BY MY STEP FATHER

But then the van stopped. The doors swung open, and the salt air hit me like a physical blow. We weren't at an airstrip. We were at a crumbling stone pier. In the distance, rising out of the black water like a jagged tooth, was an island. It didn't have lights. It just had a dull, sickly orange glow coming from somewhere deep inside the rock. "Get out," the guard barked. They shoved me and three other guys toward a boat. One of the guys looked like he had been crying for days, some skinny kid who looked way too young to be in this mess. We were bundled onto the deck, and as the engine roared to life, the mainland started to shrink.

My Brother Owns the Island Though

My Brother Owns the Island Though

I might really die here if I did not do something soon! Billy walked up to me with a whip and tapped my face with the tip. "Behave yourself, or I'll show you what happens when you don't pay your debts!" "Sir, let me go! I have money! I'll pay off all the gambling debts!" "You think I'd believe that nonsense? If you were wealthy, why would they have left you here all alone?" My mind raced as I tried to devise a plan. I happened to see Billy's phone screen, which had a contact labeled "Island Owner" in his contacts.

No Tide for Yesterday

No Tide for Yesterday

“Look at this! The internet’s on fire! They’re saying there’s a ‘Goddess of the Sea’ on our island! I swear, these kids have never seen you scold anyone harder than you slice fish!” Lena finally put down her tweezers, removed her goggles, and cast a cool glance at the greasy phone screen. The headline was blazing red: “Isolated Island Whale Song: Divinity Amid Despair.” The picture was that very sunset moment: murky waves, jagged black rocks, Lena standing sideways, hands covered in blood, whale calves swimming to the deep sea at her feet. The side silhouette alone radiated the tension of carving a path to life in a dying sea.

After Divorce, I Return As CEO

After Divorce, I Return As CEO

Honestly, he wasn’t the comforting type, emotions and all were just too… complicated for him. Even he never got the hang of his own emotions, talk less someone else, it was… difficult. But, despite that, he still felt like he had to say something. So, with a heavy sigh, he pointed towards a far corner of the sea. “Do you see that Island over there?” Ivory was a bit surprised by the question, but she was willing to play along, so she nodded and Gadreel continued. “There was a man and a woman, the woman, she had gotten lost and was separated from her family. It was getting dark and the only place she could go was the Island. So, she decided to rest there.”

Win His Ex-Wife Back!

Win His Ex-Wife Back!

Julian pulled out his phone and attempted to make a call to Celestine, but he was unable to do so because he was unsure whether or not the absence of a signal was caused by the weather. Despite this, the weather continued to deteriorate. After observing the strange waves on the water's surface and the slow lowering of the dark clouds, Mr. Lee's countenance exhibited clear signs of concern. Because he had been here before, he was familiar with the conditions that prevailed during a storm at this location. ‘‘We have no choice except to depart right away! If that doesn't work out, we're going to be stranded on this island!’’ Mr. Lee instantly came to a halt and didn’t proceed ahead.

The Alpha's Cure

The Alpha's Cure

Hand extended, I say, "Ajay, and she's Justine." Emelia then says, "Maybe we can be of service." Justine answers, "My friend needs a place to stay until her ferry comes." "When's that?" I can't believe I'm back on this island, stranded and penniless. Ken will help if I ask, so I answer, "After I make some calls, I'll know for sure." Mitchell looks at Justine, asking, "What about you?" "No, my sister arranged for someone to pick me up tomorrow."

His Lordship Alexander Kane

His Lordship Alexander Kane

He's strong enough to find this island and get us out of here! Get us out? If only it were that simple. Amber held her phone, the offline map's screen reflecting her forlorn, wry smile. If there was really a "jade amulet" there, its power was nothing short of weird! The map showed an island that seemed to have materialized from thin air, unmarked, claimed by no nation, a signal dead zone, invisible to the outside world... When Maxine's jet went down, she, Maxine, and Duke of War, White Tiger saw nothing but the endless ocean—no sign of land in sight.

Gateway Trilogy Complete-Book 1,2,3

Gateway Trilogy Complete-Book 1,2,3

Bryden explained Derrik thought then said, “The only island it would be on is the deserted island of Reeva. We could have the kids teleport us there and check it out.” “Wait, we need to prepare Because the men on the other island already warned the others. That is why the storm has intensified out there. I am also sure they are preparing for our arrival too.” Bryden said just as the ground began to shake and we began to lose balance, and I felt arms go around me to keep me steady. “That is new,” I said because it wasn’t caused by thunder as the ground still shook and slowly began to intensify. “How sturdy is this mine?” Bryden asked still keeping me sturdy on my feet.

Frequently Asked Questions

Man, 'Stranded' is this wild sci-fi ride that hooked me from the first chapter. It follows a group of astronauts on a routine mission gone horribly wrong—their ship crash-lands on a seemingly deserted planet, and they soon realize they're not alone. The tension builds as they uncover ancient ruins hinting at a vanished civilization, while something unseen stalks them in the shadows. What really got me was the psychological depth; the crew fractures under pressure, with paranoia and hidden agendas flaring up. The author nails that claustrophobic feel of being trapped both physically and mentally. I burned through it in two nights because I had to know if they’d uncover the planet’s secrets or become another footnote in its eerie history.

What stuck with me afterward was how the story played with themes of isolation versus connection. Even though the characters are light-years from home, their struggles—trust issues, leadership clashes, that gnawing fear of the unknown—felt uncomfortably human. The ending left me staring at the ceiling for a good hour, questioning whether survival was ever the real goal. If you dig stories like 'The Sphere' or 'Annihilation', this’ll wreck you in the best way.
