In the void, Ding Hao's ears were full of the sound of tides, vigorous and long-lasting. Looking around, he found that there were vast surging blue waves everywhere. It was as if the world was undulating along with the waves. In less than two hours, he had gone tens of thousands of kilometers deep into the sea.

Then I remember the most desperate feeling of my whole life, as I saw everything completely black in front of my eyes, and I felt the cold water around me pushing me and sinking me deeper and deeper. I felt that I was going to die since I knew how to swim, but even though I kicked and tried to rise to the surface, my whole body was imprisoned by the waves of the sea, which prevented me from surfacing, prevented me from doing anything, I could only sink deeper and deeper, panicking. Seeing the darkness of the sea in front of my eyes and getting more and more tired, I thought I would soon die.

TRENTON'S POV I was drowning in a pit-less ocean. It was never ending and no matter how I tried to resurface, my body never moved from the same place. I was stuck in the same cycle for God knows how long and it felt like I kept dying and all over again. It hurts like hell. It felt like my whole body would explode and my ears were ringing. As my eyes reluctantly opened, I found myself struggling to take in precious breaths, feeling the suffocating pressure of the ocean's weight pressing against me. Desperately, I thrashed my limbs in a futile attempt to swim, but my body felt weak, robbed of its usual strength and agility. In my final moments of hopelessness, a faint cry reached my ears, whispering my name amidst the chaos. My heart ached with the knowledge that I couldn't respond, unable to summon the strength or willpower to fight any longer. Defeated, I surrendered to the merciless embrace of the water, allowing my limp body to gradually sink into the watery abyss below.

I curl up to fit my body on the sofa and attempt to get comfortable. I feel myself being swallowed by darkness. By body feels weighed down, like I’m being drug into the depths of the ocean. Drowning. I’m being pulled deeper and deeper into the abyss. My arms outstretched, grasping for the walls to stop my descent into the darkness. My hands gliding against the darkness, nothing to grasp to slow my plunge into nothing. My mouth gaped open in a silent scream.

I gasp for air, but there is none. Only water and darkness. I am drowning. I am dying. Until I see a star.

The last of my breath escaped, and I felt myself drift, lighter now, as if I were part of the sea itself. The world dimmed further, until there was nothing but blackness. The sea claimed me, its cold grip pulling me into its eternal embrace. The last thing I felt was the slow, final beat of my heart, echoing into the void. Then, there was nothing. In the depths of the ocean, I found the silence of death. The struggle ended, the betrayal complete. I was lost to the world above, swallowed by the sea, forever part of its dark, quiet depths. ***
