It was the first book she had come across with such a cover, so she carefully took it out and brushed the dust off of it. “It looked untouched for months.” She opened it and began reading it slowly. "This is the book." Her eyes widened as she attentively read it. "This is the butterfly symbol and Nathan's royal seal," she sighed, relieved that she had finally gotten what she desired.

I finally picked a book, my fingers trailing over the cover as I read the title. "The Duke's Heart" was written on the cover in bold, golden letters. I smiled, as I read the short description at the back. I loved romance novels, and this one seemed like it would be right up my alley. I opened the book, feeling the worn pages crackle beneath my fingers. The book seemed old, like it had been read and reread countless times.

I looked down and groaned so loudly it almost felt personal. “No,” I said instantly, holding it up between two fingers like it might bite me. “Are you fucking kidding me?” “Not even a little.” The cover was already screaming p**n on paper before i even opened it. Dark, dramatic font, a shirtless vampire-looking man holding some bloodied naked girl. It looked like something that should be hidden behind locked glass in a questionable bookstore aisle.
