There was no way that Jace Storme was staring at me. Jace Storme was the hottest guy in the world and possibly the entire universe. He had a slender athletic body, sparkly turquoise eyes as bright as the sun, shortly cropped brown hair that he enjoyed to spike and a smile that could light up even the darkest of nights. He was the captain of the soccer team, football team, dance team, and he was the lead in the school's musical. He was the most popular junior at Macintyre High, easy. He would never be caught dead talking to me, much less gazing at me. It was probably just the stupid glasses not working for me.

"Are you a suicide attempt, too?" "No." His eyes flitted from one to the other of them and he noted that Jace had pulled the sleeves down over his wrists again.

Puzzled, his eyebrows furrowed with confusion. He nodded, “And a younger brother. Jace is the second child, he's twenty-seven years old. Jennifer is the last child, she's twenty years old and your favorite lady. You're always close, you gave her nicknames.” “What's she like?” “She's just like you.” “I don't even know who I am.” He retorted. “You'll start seeing yourself in her when you're around her. Jace said he'll be coming home next week, but if you badly want to see him, he listens to only you.”

Jace asked. “Ahm, do you think it’s too soon?” Emerald interrupted them. She still remembers the incident in the car store, and she was worried that his parents wouldn’t think anything else about her son because of what Emerose and Merly had told them. Ace looked down with his sad face. “Ace is already 4,” Jace said, “I’ll turn five soon,” the boy chimed in. Jace looked at him and smiled before continuing, but he couldn’t because Emerald spoke.

Jace's POV Seven years ago It was my nineteenth birthday today but it felt like every other day if not worse. Dad was out on a business trip, Mum was off partying somewhere downtown while Jay was at boarding school. I was the only one home if Dad's precious son didn't count.
