He was at least twenty-three years older than Jackie. He was the eldest son of the late Lester Jenkins. “Jonathan . . . nice to see you,” Nick said as he tried to gather his thoughts. God, he is way too old for her. “I thought you left Arizona,” Jonathan said. Jackie was still stunned. “I did for a while,” Nick said as he sized Jonathan up. “I came back to turn in Peter Beauford a.k.a. Ghost to the sheriff’s department.”

He made his way to the counter, collapsing onto a stool like a man defeated. The bartender, a gruff but kind-hearted man named Joe, looked at him with concern. "Hey, Nick, what's wrong? You look like you've lost your last friend." Nicholas just shook his head, unable to speak. He gestured to the whiskey bottle, and Joe poured him a shot without hesitation.

Once he gets her belonging, he would be able to trace who she really was and hopefully, when she gets better, he would send her back home and make sure he compensates her for the torment she had gone through. Nicho arrived exactly twenty-five minutes after he did. He came in the company of the Russian Ted who was the second in command after Nicho. The fact that he had put the two of them, his most trusted and reliable men to the task and they manage to fail him pissed him off so bad that when they arrived, he walked up to Nicho and punched him in the face twice, he did the same to Ted too. “How do you both intend to fix the mess you made? Huh? Tell me,”

His words have both of us laughing so hard that for a moment I forget everything that is going on around us and it feels so good, so needed. "Warrior Robbie. How can I help you?" A strange voice brings my laughter to an immediate stop as a guy comes to stand in front of us. He's incredibly tall and muscular and looks like he could scare even the meanest of wolves. "Yes, Johnathan. Alpha Nicholas is in the gym. He has asked for some privacy but I would like you to guard the door while he's in there. There's too much shit going on right now for him to be left unguarded."

“Whatever this is, whatever you think he owes you, he’s not the same person. He’s left that life behind.” Aaron glanced at her in the rearview mirror, his gaze cold and calculating. “You don’t know him like I do, sweetheart. People don’t change as easily as you think. The Nick I knew? He was good at what he did. He fixed his gaze on me and I was expecting to see anger in his eyes but instead I saw compassion and also confusion and it also confused me. What happened to you that made you so distrustful toward people? He asked and I was shocked by the question but what shocked me more was the fact that his mouth didn't move. Did he just mind link with me? Did he even know that he did it? But how? “What did the Nichols family do to you?” He asked dragging me out of my reverie. The Nichols family? So I was right, he does know something. But what exactly? But is he doing all these for Yara's sake?

It his story was a labor of love with my favorite character being Harper and his strong storyline, heartbreaking moments and love can over come all attitude that had me feeling it right along side him. Nixon was harder for me to write because I was cringing with every homophobic slit he tossed out. His blind need to deny his feelings for his mate and the yo-yo, push and pull gave even me whiplash. Harper and Nixons love story was one full of ups and downs and a whole lot of push and pull. Fun facts about the Characters. Harper- Hates the color orange. Can’t stand the cold but loves the snow. Had a crush on Luca when they first meet.
