Damien and Rain followed Jax to the training ground. Damien looked cheerful while Rain just looked miserable. He didn't know why he had agreed to even come here. But as he looked at how Damien was, he knew exactly why he had agreed. Damn Damien and his perfect smile. "everyone, we will be having two new trainees today." Jax announced. The trainees looked at Jax curiously. "Hey everyone I am Damien, I will be joining you guys to train before I go back home. I hope you can all teach me and welcome me" he said, flashing a smile at them.

He just finished his junior year of high school and has started his summer training. “What’s going on next week?” Jesse looks at me and smirks. “The training school on the South end is coming here. It is going to be a competition of sorts.” That sounds interesting. That would mean that there should be some fresh meat to sample. I have no issue with sleeping around, but it hasn’t been as easy as in the past. Truth be told, I end up having to picture Zahara at times to get to ‘that point’. No one has measured up to her and I haven’t even had the pleasure. I don’t mind having not met my mate because I have decided on Zahara.

She was disappointed with her performance against Nathan. "You shouldn't be disappointed. You managed to stay alive after taking the hit of one of the top 3 hunters in the country. That is a proud moment." Mia didn't reply. "If you do feel disappointed in your strength, you need to listen to what I have to say. I am thinking about a new training regime for you. I promise it won't negatively affect your growth. You will achieve all your goals, and maybe even outperform your expectations. Are you interested?" Mia immediately turned to look at the Huntress. Her eyes were filled with anticipation on what the Huntress was going to say next.

I was reviewing the daily schedule in the main training room when the door opened. There a tall player walked in with an easy smile. Jax Rivera. Star forward for our rival team, the Iron Vipers. He was known across the league for his speed, aggression, and endless charm. Tall, with sharp features, dark hair, and striking green eyes that seemed to notice everything. “Dr. Vance,” he called out smoothly, leaning against the doorframe. “Heard you are the best in the business. I pulled a hamstring in practice yesterday. Mind taking a quick look?”

he remarks with a half smile. “You are over after school training?” I can’t help the surprise in my voice. Jagger didn’t take over training until he had graduated. I guess everyone does things differently. “Yep. And I know just what we’re doing today,” a mischievous smile crosses his face as the bell rings. “Oh no.” Callie instantly looks paler. “Yep. Sparring.”

Chapter 12: Control Nyra's Pov I already knew how his first training session went before he texted me. Coach Harris had called earlier, and unlike most people, he did not waste time with unnecessary explanations. He told me what I needed to know, which was that Jace was not fully back yet, but he was far from finished. That was enough for me. I sat at my desk, my phone in front of me, thinking through the next steps while the room stayed quiet. Everything was moving the way I expected, but I knew better than to assume that meant it would stay that way.

"It's because we train first mentally, physically, We'll train you on the basics first. We are just going easy on you because of Mr. Martins' orders." "Easy?" I rolled my eyes. "C'mon, you don't have to take it easy for me." "Then I will make it hard. The battle is not even starting yet, Ms. Hira Callan." Harris was not joking when he said that. I had been training for a month now and Harris became my self-defense instructor and bodyguard, as Mr. Martins wanted to always check up on me, scared that his friend, my dad, would choke him as a ghost when something happened to me.

Instead, she had fear plastered all over her face. “Why do you look so freaked out? I did it to prove him wrong?” “Wrong? Darius is almost never wrong.” She spoke. “Do you know who runs the training alongside the assigned trainee?” “Who?” My heart drummed heavily in my chest. “Pamela.” I could've sworn my heart would've blasted right there out of my chest if I hadn't gripped it. "Pamela?" "To make matters worse you have your team introduction in thirty minutes?"

“I have completed it in stages, but never all at once. I got really close today, so hopefully next time I will nail it. Out of all of us, Tobias is the only one who’s completed it in one go more than once, Aiden managed it for the first time a couple of weeks ago.” Weirdly, that makes me happy. “Well, if you need training tips, just let me know.” I smirk, only half-joking. He grins. “I might take you up on that.” A thought crosses my mind about Alice and Lottie’s questionable trainer. “Hey, do you know anything about the guy who trains Alice and Lottie?” Jasper looks confused. “Joey? Yeah, he is a good guy and a solid trainer. He worked his way up the warrior ranks and got appointed by Baxte

Not only that, but there wasn’t much muscle on her body either. She looked malnourished. The trainer, Harriet, emerged from the training building just a few minutes after their arrival. I smothered the mate-bond, silencing it’s attempt to evoke concern for it’s mate. Her stride was aggressive, filled with purpose as she approached the trainee’s and called them to attention.
