Jake Long American Dragon Novels & Stories

"And I don't plan on staying here long enough for the silver to drain anything." A soft, tired sigh came from the other side of the stone. "Everyone says that the first night. I used to shout at the walls too. But two months in this darkness changes your perspective. I’m Leo, by the way." Jake went silent, his emerald eyes tracking the shadows dancing on the stone floor. He hesitated, every instinct telling him to keep his identity hidden in this den of vipers. "Jake," he finally muttered, leaving out his family name.

I say. I watch as shock crosses his face. “That’s right, Dad,” I say, then look at Kenneth. “I’m your dragon thief. I stole your eggs and returned them to their mothers where they belonged! I am the reason none of you were able to keep your eggs.” “You! My father knew it and I didn’t believe him!” Kenneth growls.

“I did not see it when they arrived. The dark dragon brought him down, whilst I tended to Harry.” “The dark dragon,” Connery said with rueful amusement. “Now isn’t that an impressive moniker?” “I need to speak with the dragons,” Meguitte placed Jules’ hand palm down on the bed and continued to wash the blood and gore from it. The skin was almost dyed red, and it took some time and care to achieve something that she felt acceptable.

Dane let out a pained yelp but quickly regained his footing and countered with a brutal kick to Dash’s ribs. “Mia, I really think it’s time we get out of here,” Kendra suggested again. “I won’t leave Dane.” I retorted. “He’s the Alpha. Dash is no match for him,” she replied. I stood my ground watching the two battling it out inches away. As the fight wore on, the shack became filled with the scent of sweat, blood, and fur. The two were evenly matched, and neither seemed willing to give up the fight. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Dane managed to land a devastating blow to the side of Dash’s head, knocking him to the floor. With a triumphant growl, Dane stood over his fallen broth

Zelda’s POV The lights suddenly illuminated Alpha Jake, the center of attention at his welcome party. Dressed in a white suit with a golden symbol on the chest, he radiated authority. "Welcome, Alpha Jake," the usher began, trying to build up the atmosphere. "The alpha of the rogues, the one and only alpha who can have any woman he desires, the alpha who slayed a lion at the age of three, the alpha who—" Alpha Jake interrupted the usher, raising his hand to silence him.

They would be gone all day. Once the bags were packed, they all said goodbye to the King and the Queen. Adleigh, Clay, Amelia, and Yale all shifted. The half ended just after the ball went through the uprights, and the Eagles ran into the locker room leading three to zip. "Do you want anything from the concession?" Jake stood up, stretching. I watched him, trying to look at him through eyes that didn't only see Leo. Yeah, Jake was cute, in a geeky, hipster sort of way. His reddish-brown hair was a little longer than I liked on a guy, but his eyes were bright blue and wide. Now they gazed down at me as his question lingered in the air.

I asked, taken aback. "The last dragon, Drake Walker, showed up at the auditions," Mac confessed, observing my surprised expression.
