Love To Hate My Stepbrother

Love To Hate My Stepbrother

He follows it up with silk hand gloves which he drops on my palms. Quietly, I follow his orders, taking care not to rip the hand gloves with my hastiness. "You can open it now." He pronounces. "You can't get much cleaner than that." With shaky hands, I skim the hand cover of the book, running my fingers through it and feeling the hard leather beneath my tips. Flipping it open, I stare in shock at the words written there. Pride and prejudice. Written by Jane Austen. Edited by William Gifford.

Born to be a Superstar

Born to be a Superstar

The man with a flat face leads the way, but Austin can see a thin smile always being displayed when he turns to the woman who used to live with him. Jane Oliver. Wearing a soft and light fuchsia pink chiffon dress, long-sleeved with simple details on the neck and arms. Even the body-hugging cut. Unfortunately, although simple, Jane's appearance this afternoon is very attention-grabbing. Her long hair is left beautifully loose, and her sunglasses are the perfect accessory. Very different from the Jane Austin has known all this time. Though if Austin were to be honest, none of the items or clothes Jane wears are from ordinary boutiques. They're all famous and classy. Especially since Jane was

he inquired. Jane sighed. “That’s the thing, Isaac. It’s August, 1861.” Jane watched as her husband did the math. “That’s right, before Jaris died. Can you believe that? Can you imagine what Margaret is going to think when she finds out?” “Did you read it? Maybe they didn’t start this courting business until later,” Isaac said, wanting to give his daughter the benefit of the doubt. “Not yet,” Jane replied, “But I intend to. I intend to read all of them. There may be some clues in here!”

The Devil Who Owes Me A Kiss

The Devil Who Owes Me A Kiss

She wove it carefully into her hair, securing an artful twist that suggested elegance without effort. The final item waited in tissue paper, modest yet precious beyond measure. Her well-worn copy of Pride and Prejudice bore the gentle scars of countless readings, its spine creased from years of seeking comfort in Austen’s wit. She had been clutching this very book the day she first encountered Henry Wynthorne properly, not merely as her parents’ friends’ son, but as a man whose laugh could illuminate an entire room. He had glanced at the cover with genuine curiosity, and she had treasured that moment of shared literary interest ever since. Perhaps tonight, she might finally find the courage

The League of Rogues

The League of Rogues

The drawing room was filled with candlelight, firelight and two people who should not have been in the same room. Horatia, not willing to concede defeat, had curled up in her window seat again, her silver gown tucked up around her slippers, knees nestled under her chin. She clutched her novel, Lady Eustace and the Merry Marquess, trying to focus on its pages and not the real life marquess sitting by the fire. In the short span of time between Jonathan's battle of wills with Audrey, and Jonathan's hasty departure soon after, Horatia and Lucien found themselves in a battle of their own. Though Lucien's gaze was on the fireplace's vermillion flames, she could sense his attention on heras though

Between the Mobster and the CEO

Between the Mobster and the CEO

I open it with curiosity and I jump up my seat when I realize what it is. “Leopold this is crazy! How did you get this?!” I ask perplexed. “No, it’s not crazy, it’s a present. Do you like it?” Leopold asks amused. “How could I not? Are you kidding? Of course, I do!” I exclaim thrilled. Inside the package, there is a three-volume first edition from 1816 of the novel Emma by Jane Austen. I look at the old books in disbelief. This is an invaluable antique. It must have been extremely expensive and hard to get.

She slapped my arm. Laughing, I dodged her attacks and scooted closer to the bus window. “Enlighten me about this great Pride and Prejudice favorite of yours then.” “Don’t you underestimate my preference. It’s a Jane Austen Classic.” She boasted proudly. “Yeah? And then?” She sighed while my grin grew wider. I found it amusing that she’s getting all so fed up by defending her favorite novel. The more I looked unconvinced, she grew more frustrated.

I'm so inlove with this book. It's like a work of art. I'm inlove with the way you put up words and the story is also so unique--not the typical teen romance drama. I'm looking forward to what happens next??

Rejected by the Cowboy

Rejected by the Cowboy

“This is ‘Pride and Prejudice’ by Jane Austen. It’s a love story that many women adore.” Jack took the book and examined the cover. “It looks interesting. What else would you recommend?” The sales assistant continued selecting books, giving a brief description for each one. “Oh, and we also have some romantic adventure books, like ‘Treasure Island’ by Robert Louis Stevenson, which focuses more on adventure and pirates.” Jack listened carefully and selected several books with the assistant’s guidance. “I think she’ll like these,” he said, smiling. The sales assistant smiled back, growing a bit curious about the lucky woman who had managed to tie down a confirmed bachelor like Jack Colt.

Broken to finding love

Broken to finding love

“Babe, how do I look? Does this fit well?” Jane walked out of the closet and spun in front of Leonard, who was busy reading some documents. Jane’s soft voice entered Leonard’s ears, making him raise his head up to see his wife spinning beautifully in front of him. Jane was putting on a knee length flair gown, which spun with her as she spun her body. Jane stood in a sexy poise, her eyelashes fluttering seductively, trying to gain Leonard’s attention.

Billionaire's Baby

Billionaire's Baby

Ciara stood at the door of a private room, clinging to a pot-bellied middle-aged man. "Of course, baby. You're still as beautiful as ever," he replied, his hands lingering on her body. Betty was shocked, "Ciara..." Jane remained unfazed, having already known about Ciara's chaotic private life. Ciara asked kindly, "Are you leaving, Jane?" This caught Mr. Dickson's attention, and he stared at Jane intently, "Why do I feel like I've seen you before?" Ciara smiled, aware of men's lustful nature, "She's my substitute, Jane Austen. You've met her before."
