Before I could leave the tent and track his scent, however, I heard footsteps before someone grabbed my hair and ripped me out of the tent.
“Good thing your still here, bitch,” Janet snarled at me as she dragged me across the ground by my hair. I tried to pull myself up, but each time I did, she simply kicked my legs, causing me to land painfully back on the ground. And without the extra shirt holding in the blood on my back, I could feel it start to soak into my dress.
“Enough, Janet,” Jason growled. “She’s already bleeding. If she’s too weak to carry our gear, then what’s the point of keeping her.”
