“What’s going on?” It was Maverick who answered after a minute. “Long story short, Dr. Keys is the assassin. He does research for Jonathan Adams in Washington. He was at that mine.” He pointed to the blueprint, “and found the Ruby that you stole back from Jared. It all started with Dr. Keys finding it and Jonathan took it for his own. Dr. Keys hired Jared to steal it back and then Jonathan hired you to steal it from Jared. That left Jared fucked from Dr. Keys so he decided to get back at everyone. He is poisoning the water towers in Montana to kill everyone and then doing the same in Washington. We are out of time and need to figure out which water tower he is poisoning so we can stop him.

I put my laptop away and stood up to open the door before it's knocked on for the second time. Jared was standing in the doorway as soon as I opened the door. He cleaned the places on his skin where Adrian touched him before. The smell seemed to stick to Ravi's body, and he didn't like it, he hated the man. Ravi wouldn't be here if Adrian hadn't kidnapped him into this out of nowhere, but Ravi also couldn't ignore how Marvos was Raymond who killed the people at Adrian's job. Moving forward I pick up the phone hearing a panicked Alpha Ryan on the other end, “Jared, finally I have reached you. Alpha Raymond has escaped custody. He is a threat to everyone who has stood in his way of getting what he wants, and you must protect Lily. He’s coming for her,” he says hurriedly. “How did he escape?” I ask. “We’re trying to figure it out. He’s had help on the inside. For now, protect your family Jared, we have trackers after him, but we don’t know what kind of jump he had on us,” Ryan says as he quickly hangs up.

He didn’t say anything else concerning the subject. And instead of trying to press on it, I also knew to turn my attention to the man that I came here to see.
