Luna Rising
I called.
Gideon and King Cian stepped inside. Gideon’s face was tight, shadows carved deep around his eyes, a slim folder tucked under his arm like a weight he didn’t want to carry. Cian shut the door behind them himself, the soft click of the latch sending a prickle of warning down my spine. Never a good sign.
“Tell me you have something,” I said before either of them could speak.
Gideon crossed the room and dropped the folder onto the desk. The thud was quiet, controlled—and final. “We finally broke open the trafficking thread,” he said. “Not the mall attacker—but I’d bet just about anything that was tied into the same network.”
