I carefully pull my phone away from my ear and glare at it for a while. I move over to I*******m, my mind still reeling from the conversation. I start stalking Jasper's page, a habit I've developed over the past few weeks. He's been posting regularly, and his friends seem to be influencing him. 82 Hale was always going to be the easiest one to break. Decker had known it from the moment Jared dragged him out of that hidden room. Hale was not a warrior. Not really. He knew the movement of servants, meals, linens, doors, keys, and schedules. He understood access. He understood quietly. At least Helena wants to erase all traces of Alex first before she starts a new page with Jasper. But to tell her heart, Helena couldn’t do it because she didn’t want to hurt Jasper at all. Jasper was a very nice man and Helena saw it. Jasper is like a precious person, a place where she can complain and feel more comfortable than a friend, and Helena fears she will lose a precious friend when she tells her mind honestly.
