Summer… Jasper was a man that even a b*tch like Isabella could not get. “Why? I’d let it slide with Jasper but with Shadrick I don’t think I could handle it. Before I know it we are up in the air, with Jasper acting as the pilot. I want to ask if he knows what he is doing but I don’t want to seem insulting. I suppose if he crashed us he could just quickly use his teleport to get us home. CHAPTER NINETEEN — OPEN HEARTS The second day of their getaway dawned with golden sunlight spilling over the ocean. Yara awoke to the sound of gentle waves and the faint scent of coffee drifting from the porch. Jamal was already up, sitting with two mugs of steaming tea. I licked my back teeth. Great. Now of all times I was dying for a smoke. The afternoon in Safrana? It was blazing hot. I had been standing in the blazing sun for what felt like an eternity, and it seemed like the sun was trying to cook me alive.

For a moment, neither of us spoke. Then he said, “If she wants to leave, let her.” My heart skipped. The Blackridge Alpha stared at his son. “Deucalion.” He remained silent. I could not tell whether he truly wanted me gone or whether he was simply tired of the entire situation. One of the elders sighed. “This may be the cleanest solution.” I looked at the Luna. She had been silent throughout the meeting. She had been the only person who had shown me kindness since I arrived.

She smiled. Jasper would have said no initially but he's bent on making Raina annoyed. He's going to let her know he went on a lunch date with Jessa, just to see her reaction. They went to a nearby restaurant to have lunch. Jasper saw Jessa as a funny and straightforward person, he began to like her personality. She may seem too clingy and demanding but she's not bad to be with. The only thing he can't offer her is what she wants, he only wants to keep it at being just friends.
